For many years I bought my furniture here, but for many years the warranty they have sucks, that’s the only reason I stop buying here. The warranty they have is no good at all don’t waste your money purchasing warranty

Unmet Expectations
I was greeted at the door by Andrew. He did a great job assisting me. I chose two of the nicest sofas in stock and made an offer. The manager Christy then scolded him in front of us because he was unable to sell us a lesser sofa for full price. She assured us she took over the transaction for Andrew because he was unable to meet our expectations. Christy then told my wife and I she “judged us before she helped us but it turns out we aren’t bad people after all”, lied about what was included in the “white glove” delivery, and tried to bribe us not to write a bad review by discounting a floor model end table. We did pay full price for the two nicer sofas, delivery, and a protection plan so I am unclear why she did not believe Andrew could meet our expectations or in any way what she did to help us. This does not give me much faith the experience will be positive if we ever need to utilize the protection plan.

HORRIBLE OVERALL EXPERIENCE!
HORRIBLE OVERALL EXPERIENCE!! Buyers beware!! In store they haggle you to purchase. Once you agree to purchase they try to force you to get a credit card and additional warranties on your furniture. Furniture arrived damaged and now I am being told I have to wait over a month for my BRAND NEW FURNITURE to be repaired!! Do not shop here. Other furniture places just replace if furniture arrives damaged on arrival!!!

Sales peple are very push about…
Sales peple are very push about financing. Even when you are clear you want to pay for everything in one payment, they are pushy and want to get you to finance it. I did not like that experience.

Both delivery drivers were very rude
Both delivery drivers were very rude! Said I was waisting their time because I just moved in and they didn’t want to work around boxes. If you didn’t want to come to work, simply don’t come. Very disappointed!!! I have a second delivery & neither do I want to be delivered anything by these rude guys both named Juan & Herado from a third party service connected to the room place. Bad business, unprofessional & I never want to see them ever again.

Website has issues
My shipping and billing addresses were different and this kept causing issues when I tried to check out. Then it took about 6 hours to receive any confirmation email about the purchase. When I called customer service to complain they were not very helpful.

Terrible expierence with this company
Terrible expierence with this company. I returned a couch the same day theu delivered and theu are trying to give my $2300 in store credit when i dont want anything else from the store and the reason for returning the couch was it was to big for my space and simply didnt fit. I paid $300 for shipping and another $80 to restock which i am fine with paying, what i am not okay with is they hold the remaining 2300 as store credit when i never excepted the couch. Terrible company and even worse customer service. I will be opening a case with better business bureau. Don not buy here!

Still waiting for my furniture delivery!!!!!!
They confirmed delivery and never delivered my furniture on three different days! I missed 3 days of pay and I lost $900.! I will never shop here again and I'm going to tell everyone I know not to shop here! I'm still waiting for my furniture and it was promised two weeks ago!

Fail fail and fail some more
Furniture was scheduled for delivery and nobody showed up. We made numerous calls to the store, the home office and anyone we could call and received no response. We finally went into the store and spoke to the manager who said she would apply a credit (approx $300) to our account but didn’t. We called back weeks later and we told that since we bought a bunch of furniture we didn’t pay a delver charge so they could not refund the $300 plus dollars they promised. My wife also asked that they credit back the credit card that was used to purchase (which would have made sense even if she didn’t specify). More weeks later, the credit was sent to another card (one we used for a previous deposit) and it was for $150. No explanation and zero follow up. Furniture was finally delivered late but the delivery crew dumped their tools into a freshly painted wall in the entrance of the house and then pushed the door hard enough that swung open into the adjacent wall leaving a dent. Understand they don’t care about our house but I do and shouldn’t have to do repairs because we bought a couch. We have purchased a lot of furniture from this store over the past 8-10 years and would have expected better service.

I entered the Merriville Store on Monday
I entered the store on Monday, December 18th, 2023. I was approached by a sales associate who asked me the following " Did you just sneak in the store or were you working with another sales associate in which he quoted a name, but I don't remember the name because I was appalled that he asked me if I sneaked into the store. Moving forward, I told him I was interested in the sectional I was sitting on and had some questions. He answered my first question, and then as I was asking a 2nd question, a manager came over and said something to him and then he immediately stopped talking to me and went to the other customers who may have been there before me. The manager didn't acknowledge me and say excuse me or explain why the sales associate had to leave me as I was in the middle of asking a question. The sales associate didn't even say anything to me like they were here first, or he would send someone over to me and the manager that told him to leave me didn't say anything to me to help me. I was very upset by this because I was ready to purchase the sectional and a recliner from your store. I did make a complaint to the manager who was at the front counter, and she apologized for the service and stated she would speak to both employees. I don't know if she spoke to them, which is why I am making a formal complaint in writing. That was poor customer service and I'm sure they have been trained on how to approach customers. After my complaint to the other manager, she offered to help but I was too angry at that point. I ended up purchasing the sectional and recliner at the Homewood, IL store in which I received excellent service from the employees there. I hope that those 2 employees will be spoken to about their customer service communications. The Homewood representatives Tony and Ty were very helpful and made sure I understood everything about the delivery, credit information, and warranty. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY MUST BE COMMENDED FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE!!! WAY BETTER THAN MERRIVILLE!!!

If you open their credit card with a…
If you open their credit card with a purchase, be aware they do not explain terms and conditions correctly to you. The bank that is associated with this credit card scams you for interest of money that has already been paid to them. I will never purchase another thing from them due to this experience and suggest other people do not purchase anything from this business either. Horrible and unethical!
