Sale rep doesn't listen....
I kept asking the sales rep multiple times "How much was this kitchen table set WITH the cost of shipping and he kept telling me $760-780 ish. When I finally decide, let's do it. The final bill showed shipping of $199 on top of the kitchen table and chair set. This sales rep doesn't understand English and isn't listening. Would never buy here again.

I was not greeted until I had been in…
I was not greeted until I had been in the store for 30 minutes. The male employee walked passed me to greet a customer that entered the store long after me. I was standing in front of the desk in view of the employees. I already knew what I wanted. After 45 minutes I was asked to come to the desk. I waited another 15 minutes and no one helped me. The male employee walked passed me again and went to finish helping the customer's that came in after me. I attempted to walk out but the female employee begged me to stay. After another 10 minutes of her completing the customer in front of me transaction, I was finally waited on. I was paying by credit card and it took this store over 1.5 hrs to get me checked out. The male employee was rude and not very helpful to the female employee. He seemed irritated every time she asked a question.

They add on warranties and protection plans without telling you, so your price goes up without any communication.

No callback from delivery concerns
No callback from delivery concerns. Lots of broken promises (including items, etc.) given to an elderly couple, original invoice not received via e-mail, had to call 2 days later for a copy. Missing items placed, advised as if no charge, spoke to customer care advised of total for missing items. No invoice received via e-mail. Very unprofessional experience.

Absolute junk - will not last even a couple years
I bought a living room set and the a bedroom set from The Roomplace. In both instances, I opted to have their team put together the furniture thinking it would be done right and guarantee longevity. For the price paid, you would also think their furniture might last. Even before the warranty was up, I had them out to repair or replace items twice! First the couch just kind of collapsed on itself. Then the bed legs started falling off and couldn’t be reattached. In this instance their team really couldn’t repair it and said, if I were you I would install a few more legs yourself! And now, here I am only 3 years into my first purchase with them and regretting every subsequent purchase. I’ve had to rig together with extra screws, new legs, and whatever else I could come up with every single piece of furniture I’ve bought from them - the bed, the couch, the coffee table. Their products are junk. Do not buy.

The Wrong Place!
My mom was displaced due to a fire and was staying with us. We went to the Roomplace to get help finding a nice, reasonable and comfortable sleeper sofa she could sleep on without hurting her hips and back. The salesperson recommended a reclining leather sofa which I purchased. When the sofa was delivered it had a stain so had to go through a 2week process to get it exchanged. Then when I was finally able to try out the sofa to ensure it would work well for sleeping, I got flipped to the floor because the foot portion of the reclining sofa can't support body weight. If that had been my mom, who the sofa was for in the first place, she would hv gotten injured. I went back to the roomplace store where I purchased the sofa. I explained to the sales manager that I needed to return or exchange the sofa because it was too dangerous for my mom to sleep on; then I explained what happened. The Sales Manager stated that he couldn't exchange or return the sofa since it's been over the 48 hour return and exchange window. I told him it went past that window when I had to exchange the sofa due to the stain on it when it was delivered. He then referred me to customer service who stated the same thing. However they did say that the sales manager or DM could have exchanged the sofa due to the fact the salesperson sold me a sofa that didn't meet my needs if he truly wanted to. I am so upset because now my mom has had to move with another relative after already being displaced, because I don't have any where for her to comfortably sleep. I'm also upset with the Roomplace because I'm a repeated customer that they did nothing to assist. I even left a message for the Operations Manager who is a really nice lady but never received a returned call. All rules can be adjusted to retain your customers and the Roomplace chose not to fix their error. The salesperson sold me on the sofa assuring me it would meet the needs I described. However it did just the opposite and my mom could have gotten hurt. I'm not a spring chicken but thankfully I was able to pick myself up off the floor after the sofa tipped forward when I turned on my side while testing it out for mom. The sofa is being totally waisted at this point because it's not ideal for what we purchased it for.

The male older sales person was overwhelmed and became belligerent and very bad demeanor. Very argumentative. I almost moved to a different roomplace. Fortunately the sales manager took over.

Psycho Delivery Driver
The color of the sofa looked totally different in my house from the store. I refused the delivery. The delivery driver became irate, slamming the door, ignoring me and flipping me off when I tried to talk to him. I apologized for sending the items back, but he was so disrespectful. I still do not have a refund. What a terrible way to treat a customer. Terrible service!

First time I ordered it was canceled…
First time I ordered it was canceled without any explanation just an email that said sincerely customer service. So I called customer service and the lady said she didn’t see any order. So I then had to reorder with someone from chat and then they had the wrong address after I had put my address in correctly in the link that was sent. The link asked for payment, billing address, and shipping address. Glad I saw it was the wrong address otherwise my 6k worth of furniture would have been lost. I should be able to place an order and not worry about anything else.

Josh the salesman at Algonquin location…
Josh the salesman at Algonquin location was extremely rude and pushy regarding the warranty option for my furniture. He would not take no for an answer and even questioned my finances and decision making. I was VERY dissatisfied with my experience and might still cancel my purchase due to this. I was so excited about the furniture and now I have a negative view point of the company.

Delivery was terrible
Delivery was terrible. We were told on multiple occasions that the delivery was "30 minutes away" and 2.5 hours later it still never arrived so we had to reschedule. Reps on the phone were not helpful as well. First the windows was from 12:00 to 3:00pm. Then a rep called us and said they are running late so the latest the delivery would arrive would be 4:30p. Then 6:00pm rolled around and still no delivery. At this point we were told that we were the next stop and the delivery would be there in 30 mins on three separate occasions. Would not recommend unless you have zero plans for delivery day. I understand that things happen and there are delays, just frustrating that we were told 4:30p at the latest and then on multiple occasions that we were the next stop and that it should arrive in 30 mins

The lead time on a basic 2-piece sofa…
The lead time on a basic 2-piece sofa sectional, with no custom fabric, no custom finish, is almost four months. That is ridiculous. Prior to purchasing online, I asked several different salespersons (in person, and via phone at different locations) if there were fabric choices. I got many different answers. I think Drew & Jonathan would be very disappointed in The Room Place for the poor customer service regarding lack of knowledge, and lengthy lead times for this product.
