I purchased our couches that we spent…
I purchased our couches that we spent 3000 on in Feb and was told I would be getting them in April .I called the store manager in Lombard this is where I purchased them from I told her my situation and that I really needed the couches sooner didn't even say I'm sorry about this not even can I take something off your delivery nothing so I hung up I worked in retail and customers always are right and come first not happy with the service she should not be working retail.

4 months for delivery?
Ordered an entertainment center on 1/7/24. Never called to tell me it wouldn't be delivered on the date on my paperwork. Three other delays now. Paid in full and now have to wait over 4 months for delivery. This isn't Walter E. Smithe quality furniture to take this long. Run from this place.

Have not received yet what I even ordered and it's been 2 months
I ordered a table and chairs from them that have yet to arrive. The arrival date has now been moved 3 different times. When I tried to call the store directly and ask why, they picked up and then put me on hold so long I got bounced back to the operator.

I’m very unhappy with my experience…
I’m very unhappy with my experience with RP. I’ve purchased a living room set and mattress from here. The associate told us there would be zero interest when we got our first bill interest was put on there. Went back to talk to room place about the bill and was told that everything would be fixed and that we would see the reflection of the no interest and now our bill is just getting higher and higher. Talking into commodity also, which is the bank for the roomplace is a joke because they’re just going round and round in circles. Then we go back into room place and they tell us that they’re no longer room place that it’s liquidation so they’ve clearly washed their hands of the whole issue and now what? We have had a very terrible experience, and will never purchase from room place again.

Worst shopping experience EVER
I purchased a recliner online and it was a complete disaster. I received a text message telling to pay for the $1000+ item via a link in the text. If that doesn’t smell of a scam, I don’t know what does. I paid for the chair on the website and refused to pay via the texted link. And then the threatening texts began: your purchase has been cancelled, etc. I confirmed with my bank that the payment was approved but the Room Place repeated that I needed to pay again. After a couple of days of that nonsense, I cancelled the order. And then I was told the payment went through. It took a dispute with the charge to get my money back. I bought a better product with quick and easy delivery from Amazon. I would never purchase anything from The Room Place again.

They sell items that they don't have…
They sell items that they don't have readily available in stock. Do not shop here. I placed an order on January 11th, first date for delivery was February 19th, then it changed to February 24th, then March 2nd, then March 16, now March 23rd. I will be going to get all my money back because this is ridiculous. Then they tell you they have no way of contacting the manufacturer to find out a definite date. Roomplace, How can you not contact the manufacturer warehouse where your furniture ships from???? They are liars! Update: Their response does not justify the ridiculousness of the delayed order. If shipping dates are subject to change then that should be told to the customer upon placing the initial order. Again, you all are liars because upon the 5 times the date has changed, I was only notified by your company 1 time and it was the last time when the shipping date changed to March 24th. All other times I had to find out by either calling or visiting the store in person. If I had known upon placing my order that shipping dates were subject to change this many times I would have never placed the order. I will be requesting a full refund. Just take the set off your site because apparently you don't sell it. False advertising.

The Take Your Money Place!
I bought a bedroom set for my grandson 1/2724 for 2000$. I live in Texas, they live in Illinois. They delivered half the order on 2/3/24, back ordered the last two pieces which were to come 2/17/24, back ordered again until 2/24/24. Now it’s being back ordered until 4/2/24, found that out today! I paid my hard earned money for this set and all the customer service department could say is sorry?! People, shop another furniture store, somewhere reputable! Because THE ROOM PLACE is non-professional and irresponsible. Less than one star!👎

I was to receive my order this past Friday. I received a email and text stating it would be delivered. On Friday I had heard anything from RP, so I called and texted. Wait for it!! They both told me I did not have an order being delivered because I owed a balance. This is the worse I’ve ever been treated after spending my money. I paid them in cash in full. Don’t do business with RP. They lie and are unwilling to fix their mistakes. I believe my sales person who I had to check intentionally went into their system and made it show I had a balance. So long in short I had to sleep on the floor on Friday!!! After speaking to two agents both were not willing to fix what they had done were useless. I was able to write to corporate after asking to speak to corporate several times to no avail. I was lucky to reach someone that listened and understood this wasn’t my fault but there’s. She helped work out my situation and had the bed delivered first thing Saturday morning. Thank you!!! I’m so glad RP is leaving Indiana. Good bye!! 👋🏾

No follow up, months of wait only for the item to be discontinued
I was looking for two oversized chairs for my living room. I liked a design and I saw that the warehouse outlet had one, so I bought that and placed an order for a second one with ottoman from the main area. Order was supposed to be ready in 3 weeks. The expected arrival keeps getting pushed back every time I call. In january they said the item has been discontinued. So I am left with just one chair and an incomplete living room set. They won't take back my chair since it was through their outlet. Now I have to find a different pair of chairs and sell this one. No one followed up or let me know this item had been discontinued, I had to call the store multiple times.

The quality of the furniture I…
The quality of the furniture I purchased from Room Place is awful, and their protection plan is not helpful. I bought a dinette set less than a year ago, and one of the chairs was already broken within the first month. They replaced it, but after a few months, all the chairs had become loose. I tightened them up a few times, but eventually, I had to contact Room Place for assistance. A representative came out to assess the problem and put in a claim for one chair. He also advised me to tighten the chairs every 1st of the month. I paid $1700 for this set, and it hasn't even been a year, yet the only suggestion they have is for me to do the work. I bought a protection plan for a reason, but I shouldn't have to do all the work. Please be aware of this if you plan to purchase from Room Place.
