Company is fraud
I order pants and paid 94EUR. They were cheap quality so I wanted to return them. I contacted the customer service and they asked me to return the order to the US warehouse on my account which I did and I paid 14EUR shipping. Week after my track and trace indicated that it was received I got no update. I contact the customer service again and now they are telling me that I should have returned it to the UK. I told them that I did according to their customer service instructions but they refused to give me service. I think this company is fraud.... do not order from them.

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. If you try to return something it is a nightmare. No information online. For a simple return they asked me to call a phone number! Eventually when you get the return form, it's just an address in the UK. This form will not clear customs, it's missing all the information required and your return will be returned to you. In addition to that you have to pay for international shipping, which is like 22 euros minimum. Really not worth the bother at all. I don't know why a company online like that exists these days

Item went missing
I ordered an item over a week ago, when I checked tracking updates it said "exception- item stolen." Given how expensive this brand is, they should a) have a warehouse in the UK instead of shipping internationally (terrible for climate change as well.) And b) Not use such awful carriers where items can be STOLEN from depot's that should be safe and secure. The carrier didn't even contact me themselves, nor did Free People. We will see if I actually get my refund, I am very sceptical looking at reviews here

My first order was "lost/stolen"
My first order was "lost/stolen", eventually was able to get head office to send me a replacement item. However the tracking/order number for this replacement doesn't work so I have no idea if they have actually sent me a new item. It has been 5 days since a replacement was "sent and 21 days since I originally ordered. Would not recommend ever using this company. They're an absolute shambles. Update: new order was never sent, they sent a non existent tracking link. I have since been given a refund, thankfully and will absolutely never shop from free people again. I would advise you to do the same.

I have spent thousand of dollars with Free People clothes. Sadly, I have just spent my last dollar with this company. I have ordered items that they claim are in stock, yet 6 days later, Free People not only claims they are not in stock, but shipment will be 2 MONTHS later! This coupled with Free People’s insistence with using on-track for shipping, if the final straw. On-track is a hot mess. As of this writing they have not bothered to pick up my order 5 DAYS after Free People claimed it was shipped. On-track delivery personal are contractors, not on-track employees. This is always a problem (no company loyalty). Previous order was “delayed” three times in 2 days! This delay was 76 miles from my home, in perfect weather. Told me they would send a “free” express mail (via UPS). But, once again used on-trac “GROUND”

My 2 orders: FP16868522, FP16936390 went missing. I attempted to chat with "Amrita" to present my claim, but have been cut off. I cannot recommend Free People Customer service, or to even shop there again. There is no guarantee to receive the order, and, as it appears, in case of loss, there is no attempt from their side to assist by locating the lost shipment and offering to refund which is to be rightfully expected. Valeska Agasto Update: On March 21 2024 order FP16936390 has been successfully delivered. My order FP16868522 at a total of $167,95 appears to have vanished after one alleged delivery attempt by USPS on Feb 29 2024.

Demanding more money but not sent the items paid for
Paid for two items and the money came directly out my account. Have only been sent one item and have been asked for more money for the item that’s yet to be shipped. Spoke to multiple representatives on the customer service team - Julie and memory both kept telling me ‘we don’t have your money, contact the bank’ but the bank has said the merchant has taken the payment already. so I’m out of money, no item and apparently it’s my fault LOL. Rating 0 for SCAM: Holding both my money and order
If I can rate it 0, it would be it. I made a purchase with shipping to Europe (because apparently they don't have a EU version of their shop) #FP17010348, $210+ in total, on March 1st, and immediately got a request for providing a transaction ID. This is a request I have never received through all my history of online shopping worldwide! Nonetheless, I started looking for an address to send it to them (because the email doesn't contain any info, so does their support portal). Eventually, I had to write to the support team who bounced me back to the "Order processing team" to contact via email. Alright, I sent the email with the requested info within a couple of house since their initial request and for 2 weeks they kept silence. I sent another email to the order processing team just to find out that they somehow missed my initial email. I was pissed, but okaaaaay. I re-sent the verification info, they confirmed they received it, and asked me to wait another 72 business hours. And now here I am. No status changes (it's still not confirmed even!), no comprehensive answers from their multiple teams. They only keep on saying "Call us on the US number" while I am an international customer and cannot do that. This is the worst customer service and online shopping service ever! I will try to get my money back, because it's getting clear to me that they are absolutely not interested in sending my goods (although they've got the money already for almost a month).

Free People is pure trash
I ve purchased free people being lazy to shop. It’s the worst. I can use their merchandise for rags to clean. Made in sweatshops and priced at 100 a sweatshirt. I’ve owned many. I’m from the clothing industry and know it well. The pandemic is over. Their merchandise is trash. Phyllis Greenberg

Absolutely appalling customer service!
Absolutely appalling customer service!! Item returned more than 4 weeks ago, tracking information sent but no-one from customer service will answer my query! Head office stated will respond within 3 days its now 5 days and no response!! 2 items in 2 weeks returned as faulty!! Wrong sizes sent out, wrong items sent out then can’t get what you originally ordered, company has just gone down hill!!!!!

Poor quality, worse return policy
The FP Amsterdam store is useless! They don’t accept returns, so you have to pay delivery costs and duties for being able to return something. Everything runs large, so you never know what size to order. The quality is so poor and most brands they sell are so much expensive on their website than if you buy at the brands website itself. Which also have better return policy . I will never buy at this store ever again! I bought a “mini” dress for €138 that comes at my knees and looks so big. Now I need to pay €20 to return this. For this price , returns should have been included

FREE PEOPLE TURNED FAST FASHION
Free people used to be one of my favorite companies. HOWEVER Free people has turned into a FAST FASHION company and for the price you pay for their clothing that they say is sustainable, etc.. YOU CAN’T EVEN KEEP UP WITH HOW MUCH THEY POST EVERY DAY. It’s very easy to get SUCKED IN especially when you have supported this brand for years. I am very sad to say I will no longer be a customer due to the brands CHEAP USE OF FABRICS AND ALWAYS PUMPING OUT 20 colors for a dress which is why THEY ARE FALLING APART!!!!

No refund for my return
Returned an item over a month ago, Free People confirmed they received my return but I have still not received my refund. After multiple calls, they keep saying they will escalate to head office and I will hear back in 3 days. Head office do not get in touch!!! Really frustrating - quick to take your money then don't give it back. Would avoid ordering from here.

I have been a customer of Free people for years, one day I bought an Anthropology reformation top and they sent me the wrong one, I put a claim and they sent me the wrong one again, I claimed again and this time they didn't answer me, so I decided to keep the second one. I went to their store and returned the first top. The problem comes that now I tried to place an order with Free People and they cancelled it, I tried three times and all three times they cancelled it. I wrote to customer service and never heard back. At this point I don't care, but I don't understand how companies like this continue to operate, with a lousy customer service.

Due to a warehouse error I received an incorrect item twice. Customer service were extremely patient and helpful while they got to grips with what had happened. I really cannot fault them with the time and effort they took to correct the error. Very happy customer, thank you.

I purchased a sweater from Free People…
I purchased a sweater from Free People and received the wrong item. I called them and they sent the correct item. I returned the wrong item to a Free People store with one of the stores managers. Fast forward a few months and they are having a sale so I order a few things and my order is canceled. I then call the the company and am told that I can no longer order from them because I never returned the wrong item. I go to the store where I returned item and explain the situation to the new manager what the problem to see if I could get a copy of the return receipt. She said they only go back so far in their system. Makes no sense to me because something was returned and I do not steal clothes. I have been in touch with customer service several times with no resolution. I di return to the store one more time and spoke with another new manager and was told they have problems with their warehouse staff stealing items. That still does not solve the problem for me because I do not steal clothes nor do I have to and I do not like the idea that I am blocked from purchasing anywhere. Moral to this review is do "DO NOT ORDER FROM FREE PEOPLE OR ANY OF ITS SISTER COMPANIES".

Inconsistent Quality/Sizing
As a customer of Free People for many years, I have been very disappointed in recent orders due to inconsistent quality and sizing of the products not to mention overpricing . My latest order was terrible in terms of quality - the material is so thin, I am afraid to wash the shirt, the same one I bought two years ago which was much better quality. When I spoke to customer service on the phone about it, the agent was very unhelpful. I will not be ordering from Free People again.

I have to say that I will give Free People 5 stars I ordered 4 items and was charged for 7 I sent quite a few e mails and it seemed the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand was doing. However after calling their help line the money was refunded within 2 days. I suggest calling if anyone needs help with a refund.

Appalling in every way…
Absolutely appalling service and WILL NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK DESPITE TELLING ME THEY HAVE RECEIVED MY RETURN - I got an email saying refund in 3-5 days. I’ve emailed and called and no help whatsoever. A really unethical company and I RECOMMEND DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS
