The process was so easy. Communication was excellent. Portal was very convenient. Overall, was such an exceptional experience from start to finish. Loan was closed in less than 30 days! Phenomenal.

Better experience with better
Overall better provided a better service when compared with other lenders. Starting from loan selection to close it was seamless and hassle free as everything we have in the account to do list and readily available experts to help.

Happy with refi experience
Did a refinance through better. They were initially a little more expensive than other quotes online but then matched the rate I found elsewhere. They were able to get a lot of documents through electronic integration that others would have required me to go and find and upload. Lastly, was always able to get a human being on the phone when I had a question. All around A+ experience.

Excellent customer service
Better mortgage is much better than quicken loans, they have a outstanding customer service and the best part is that they never put pressure on you to close with them, unlike quicken loans. And their processing fees and etc are lower than quicken loans. Great work Better Mortgage and it's team!

Great experience
We just refinanced with Better and had a great experience. I loved that we were able to start the process and see our rates with just a soft credit check at the beginning. I also liked that we could see all of the rates available to us laid out in a way that made it easy to compare and decide what was right for us. The online portal was easy to use and made submitting paperwork a lot less overwhelming. There was always someone to help us with any questions at each step in the process, but we never felt like we were being sold to, as we had with other lenders in the past. Overall, everything went as well as I could have hoped for, and we would definitely use this company again.

Excellent rate; happy it's closed; refer with caution
The refi rate was excellent and the application process was very easy. The team response time was excellent in the early days, but for whatever reason, the gaps in communication became wider. I had to have my rate extended twice and I ended up making an additional monthly payment on my existing loan because the team failed to respond to my title company's request in a timely fashion. I can say that I'm happy now that the refi has closed, but I would refer with caution. I would just encourage anyone that once they begin the process to be persistent and don't be afraid to tell them if you're unhappy.

Highly Recommend
Better mortgage was great at communicating with both me and my agent, whether via text, email, phone, or through the portal. The document submission process was extremely easy, and I couldn’t be happier with my rate. Even friends/coworkers I know either buying a house or refinancing haven’t been able to get close to the rate I received. The last cherry on top was how fast I was able to close. I was able to close a week earlier than initially planned thanks to the team’s communication and document review. Highly recommend!

Overall experience was great, there were hiccups.
I have seen a lot of reviews out there that mention the experience being terrible, long and not working out. I'd take that with a grain of salt, as a lot of those seem to be by people that didn't fully qualify or later found out that there were issues with their finances. We used Better for a mortgage on our house. Overall our experience was very good. Our loan was issued on time and our rate was ridiculously good! I actually shopped it around for over a week and no one could beat it. Their website is VERY user friendly and accomplishing tasks is very easy. That is not to say, however, that there weren't hiccups along the way. We had some issues during appraisal, processing, and closing. But at each instance the team at Better worked with us in solving it and made sure that we were compensated for it and that we closed on time. Communication wasn't always as clear and fast as we wanted, but this is understandable due to the large number of loans that are currently being issued. It is true that there are a lot of tasks and documents that are required, but this is for a mortgage loan, so clearly they are not taking things lightly. If you willingly to work with them, any issues you have should be solved and they will make up for it with credits.

The whole process from start to finish…
The whole process from start to finish was great. The web app is very easy to use and kept aware of where I was throughout the whole process. The support that I received from the Better.com team was excellent. Overall, this was the best loan process that I have experienced.

Better was a breath of fresh air when…
Better was a breath of fresh air when it comes to mortgage refinance. I just went through a lengthy loan process with another bank recently and it was pretty terrible. Better was hands down the best mortgage experience I’ve ever had and I would recommend them to anyone I meet.

Almost fun refi
Everything about our refi was excellent. Our task processors were always available, usually immediately. The web interface is excellent - clear and easy to use. We were guided through our tasks clearly. Highest recommendation!

Great online process and platform
Great online process and platform - easy to use. Clear online instructions. Was able to close on a refinance faster than expected with no issues due to processors/underwriters/lenders not getting back to me, as had been my experience with other companies in the past. This was my 5th residential refinance and this was by far the easiest, fastest, and most responsive company I have worked with. Great customer service. Nice people.
