Disappointing
I tried to set up my student loan refinance and I never got the email to set it up all the way. Customer service seemed helpful but I still never got the email they said I would receive. I did my refinance through the bank itself because credible was unreliable.

I should have passed, too good to be true.
The only options for student loan refinancing seem to require a co-signer, regardless if you have excellent credit.

Young Alfred is a shiny website over a horrible experience
We have been incredibly disappointed by Young Alfred. We were impressed initially by the slick website that made comparisons easy. However, once we needed to actually *use* our insurance, it all fell apart. You will not be the account holder of record of your insurance company. When you call them, you'll see that your "agent" is someone from Young Alfred. The insurer cannot help you directly (at least, ours couldn't - they kept referring us to our "agent," but our agent didn't work for them and had no more information than we did). So it ends up being a two-way finger pointing session, and as a customer, you never get help. This even happened today *while we were canceling our insurance* because of how bad our experience with Young Alfred has been. We called the insurer (YA doesn't provide insurance - their website is just a fancy front-end for totally traditional insurers, that will often give you a better price if you go to them directly. Ours did!). The insurer had to get a young alfred rep on the line, because they were attached to our account rather than... us. I have also been disappointed by Young Alfred's use of "flagging as illegal" on reviews here to hide negative reviews. My review is from my own experience using YA for nearly a year (and spending $750 with them for homeowner's insurance). Yet when I tried to post this review, they flagged it as "harmful and illegal" to hide it. This is not the sort of business I want to be involved with / have representing my interests as an "agent" of record. The questions they attach to that flag are nonsensical and also private (phone numbers etc), which is a clear intimidation tactic.

BULL SH_T....I got a email from them and it said…
I got a email from them and it said will not hurt my score BULLSH_T They pulled my credit and my score went down by 15 points. Then offered me a lender who requires a vehicle title with value of loan. I have 2 leased vehicles 2020 and 2021 Toyota. My 4th leases.This company sucks.

They lure you in with a low interest…
They lure you in with a low interest rate, then when you go to accept your loan offer, the interest rate suddenly increases to a higher amount. Classic bait and switch. If I didn't already have a hard pull on my credit score, I probably would have called the bank directly, scratched the existing application, and filed a new one directly with the bank (for a lower rate). (And yes it is possible because that's what I did with my MIL's student loans when I refinanced hers). I didn't do that for myself because 1) the loan that I was refinancing wasn't that large so it wasn't worth it for me (it would have only saved me a few hundred dollars over the course of the loan, I was simply looking to lower my monthly payment). and 2) I am looking to buy a house within the next year, so I didn't want to have 3 hard pulls on my credit report (1 existing, 1 through credible, then another one through the bank directly), so I just completed my existing application through credible to save myself a dip in my credit score. If you could afford 2 hard pulls on your credit report (as in you don't have any currently) then that's what I suggest doing. The only thing this website is good for is comparing lenders. Oh and their customer service was awful. I almost hung up on the guy because he was so incredibly rude.

we were pre approved for a large loan, the loan company called and said we had been approved. Four hours later we get an email stating the loan was denied. The business practices of the loan company were very unprofessional. We did not need the money but kept getting notices to get more credit, apply for more cards or take a loan, so we did. NEVER AGAIN this is a scam and you all come off in a bad light, maybe don't deal with predatory lenders, maybe deal with professional lenders, do something to up your game. The whole entire experience was bad, handled in a very unprofessional way. For someone who was waiting for that money and really needed it, this whole situation could have been really bad, and the loan company would have been entirely to blame but would also have gotten off blame free. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES

I am not happy because I applied for a…
I am not happy because I applied for a citizen credit card as an incentive for a .25% rate reduction on my student loan. I was instantly approved. I asked the lady I was speaking with if this now dropped my interest, she said yes. I did not receive my interest deduction because they made an error and forgot to include it. Just sloppy and disgusting work.

The company is providing the worst…
The company is providing the worst rates. The best rate guarantee program is a scam. I got 1000 basis point difference ( 8 % vs 18% ) when I compared their rate and rate from outside. When I reached out to them , they said the lender is on our platform. If it is the case then why the lender/Credible did not provide me exact same rate. nd why the difference was 10% . Really bad experience overall. Go to nerdwallet, credit karma, bankrate, lightstream for better experience and rates.

Bait and switch
You’re company is nothing more than bait and switch. Lure you in with a low apr, then when you go to sign the paperwork it’s a % point higher. Even with a perfect credit score.

Awful company
Awful company , said I had 4.99 student loan refinance with MEFA,who without notice cancelled my application after months of sending over document after document, credible's response, I'd have to start application all over again,no follow up, completely misleading company.

completely inaccurate- do NOT recommend
just a warning– do NOT recommend Credible. Found their information quite inaccurate. One of their supposed “partners” did not show up with even an offer and was the lowest out of about 5 lenders I applied with directly. When I applied directly with lenders they featured, the rates were different. not sure why this website gets any positive press— guess they pay for it. save yourself $$$— apply DIRECTLY with lenders. forget "Credible" as there is absolutely nothing credible about it. oh, and of course their “better rate” guarantee is not awarded when you submit. they just say it is a partner and excluded… shouldn’t they know said partner rates the most? laughable. total scam and clearly they aren't looking out for the customer.

Poor customer service and false promises about referral bonus'
I was looking to refinance my student loans and my father referred me to credible. He said we would both get a bonus if I used them. So I did, the loan went through Citizens bank. But when it came time to get my and my fathers referral bonus they said we were not eligible because my father and I have the same name and address. When they informed me of this problem my father switched his email account to his shared email with my mother and him that was under my mothers name. When I spoke to credible about this problem they said my case was closed, stopped responding to my emails, and we never got our bonus (500 for me and 200 for my father). I did get a good refinance rate for my loans so i'm happy about that, but there are many other places I wish I had gone to get a bonus for refinancing. Disappointed in the lack of support and customer service from this company.

Complete and total waste of my time
OK this is an update from the negative review I left two weeks ago. A manager from Young Alford reached out to me and found me a quote with another company. I would rerate three stars instead of one. Complete and total waste of my time. Had me take photographs three different times of the exterior of the home. Same angles every time. Finally came back and denied coverage based on what they considered to be poor condition of the exterior. The underwriter knew this after the first set of photographs were taken. Why have me go back to additional times and take additional photographs. Complete and total waste of time. I would not recommend

Was promised a referral bonus but never paid out even though my referral refinanced through credible. The reasoning being she had a credible account already. Everyone who’s checked their rates has a credible account!

False assurances
Said I was approved but did a hard credit inquiry and was denied because of my revolving credit. The reason for loan was to get rid of the revolving credit.
