You hide the fact you do a hard pull…
You hide the fact you do a hard pull and sell our data in mountains of fine print. It even says softpull on the previous page of using your service. You have also paid analytics to put you high on search results for softpull lenders. You are crappy and shady company. I hope you go bankrupt.

When you create a pre-qualification request on our personal loans marketplace, you authorize Credible to share your data with our lenders, and authorize Credible and the lenders on our site to perform a soft credit pull that will not impact your credit score. If you choose to move forward with a credit application with a specific lender, they perform a hard credit pull. At Credible, we are focused on transparency in the process and will never “sell your data.” When you request prequalified rates or apply for a loan with a personal loan lender on Credible, we do transmit your information to those lenders to evaluate the request. Credible is a marketplace, and what that means isCredible is not a lender; instead, Credible is partnered with multiple lenders so that you can see what rates you prequalify across multiple lenders at once. When you requested rates through our platform, we presented you with options from the lenders that we work with. Our records indicate that after completing our prequalification process you selected and obtained a loan from one of our partner lenders. People who need this service the most can't use it. What good is a tool to reign in student loan and similar debt, if it is only available to people with either no debt or really good credit?

Terrible Customer Service
They may be good about aggregating data so that you can make a decision, but they are terrible on follow up. I had selected a vendor on their website but could never connect with the vendor. The first email to them they responded that I need to contact them at a different number. The second email they never responded back to me. I contacted the vendor directly and got everything finished. Credible’s customer service is terrible and I do not recommend anybody use their service.

Nightmare from start to finish
Just closed on a refinance with Credible and it was a 4-month long nightmare. We applied in early September when rates were at rock-bottom. Our rep from credible consistently took days to respond when everyone I've ever spoken to from any other bank has turned around within hours on time-sensitive issues like interest rates! Our application was very straightforward, but Credible and the lender kept requesting the same documents over and over. Eventually when it seemed like we were about to close, they told me that the rate lock had expired that morning and there was nothing they could do about it. Against my better judgment, I agreed to try again with them because they agreed to waive ALL their fees, so their rates were certainly the lowest available. Once again they could get absolutely nothing right; we had to confirm in 3 separate emails and a letter that we didn't have an HOA; it seemed to be taking them weeks to get a tax cert from my county office so I had to drive there and pick it up myself, only to learn that the tax office had sent it and either the lender or Credible had lost it. After the first disaster our rep told us that everyone at Credible would make us their top priority and that certainly did not seem to be the case. When we received our final Loan estimate, it had a different interest rate than the one we had locked. When it was time to schedule a closing, I told them the date and time I wanted and they scheduled it for a completely different date and time that didn't work. All in all the delays on Credible's end cost us several thousand dollars in cash and tens of thousands in interest over the life of our mortgage. I would recommend extreme caution in dealing with them.

I thought I was getting a $300 bonus…
I thought I was getting a $300 bonus through the loan referral and instead I got a $300 gift card. What BS deceptive marketing. I was planning on paying down my student loan with the $300 CASH but instead I'm forced to buy stuff.

Bad experience
I had extremely bad experience with them. I have 830 credit score for past 3 years and earn 6 figure income with 1 house full on cash. And yet to buy a condo for investment, they did not pre-approve my application on basis that my credit score is low. That is one totally scam company who took away all my private information and next day on wards I start getting all these marketing emails and scam phone calls since my information was sold away by Credible. When I took this matter with them, their customer service only responded with some generic reply and then never heard second time from them. I do not think this company is worth considering for any type of mortgage. I am more than happy to have conversation with them if they care and refer to my 4 emails without any response. If they respond here by saying they did get back to me, then It proves my point.

Beware
Beware, I didn’t directly apply to this company but noticed their hard inquiry reduced my fica score. Looks as tho they piggyback finance inquiry's done on the Internet. They then offer rates to unassuming applicants that apply to established institutions. I Disputed the inquiry. Would not recommend using this service

Fake Promises of Bonus but never give out.
So on my Facebook Page I was informed that I will get a $200 Bonus if I get approved and finish a process for the Loan which I did but never got any Bonus. Contacted support and they keep saying someone will get back to me but no one ever does.

Inaccurate Monthly Payment Quotes
Credible quoted my monthly payments reflecting a discount in the interest rate charged reducing the payment if I enrolled in autopay. Once I picked a loan provider and transferred my loan, I could put College Ave reduces the interest rate but keeps the payment fixed, making my monthly payment significantly higher than Credible quoted me. This process was very unclear and would have made other providers more competitive in payments. The inaccurate price quotes makes using Credible useless.

Credible advertises that you can check…
Credible advertises that you can check your rates and it won't affect your credit score, but some of their lenders do a hard pull just to show you the rates. You haven't authorized them to run your report, but they do anyway. Marcus by Goldman Sachs does a hard pull and declines you, while other lenders only show you their rates if you actually qualify for a loan. I won't deal with Credible because of that. Lending Club is more reputable and they got my business.

Rates are very high, hard hit on my credit, and I was offered a loan at over 15%. Four others approved me with less than 7%. My credit is 810 on Experian and my DTI is 36%. Received a loan with another lender at 4.25%. Shop around and look for soft hits first.
