Despite assurances, HomeBridge will sell your note.
The HomeBridge representatives with whom we dealt were pleasant, efficient, competent professionals. Too bad they don't work for a better company. After stating, verbally and in writing, that it expected to continue to own and service our note, HomeBridge sold the note and we were stuck with a new servicer (one with very bad consumer reviews) before the first payment. (But not before we had gone through the process of signing up for auto-pay, etc. on the HomeBridge web site.) So, the statement in the HomeBridge email soliciting this review--"We are excited to be your Partner for your Path Ahead" is truly ironic. We could never recommend a company that so casually misleads its customers.

My journey started with HomeBridge the …
My journey started with HomeBridge the end of July 2016, 2 months after my husband was killed in an auto accident. I needed to refinance my home so I could afford the payments on my own. I contacted HomeBridge after they were referred by a friend and they immediately locked me into a low interest rate which I was grateful for, however, I was drug through the mil on paperwork as I read on other reviews. I asked that they give me a complete list of paperwork needed to process and close my loan up front, which I was given a list. Once those documents were provided every week I was asked for additional information, which I promptly provided. The person working my request informed me NOT to pay my current mortgage payment for August which I did, due to the fact that I had not been late on a payment in over 5 years. The end of August I received an email to go ahead and make the payment. A new email came shortly after that asking me NOT to make the September payment, I asked if we were closing in September....Radio silence, so I payed the payment. I did receive an email from another HomeBridge staff working my loan telling me now in September that I was not able to be approved for the lower interest rate that he could only get me approved for a higher rate, until I provided him with the document where I was locked in....the end of September I was sent an email to again go ahead an make my house payment. Again I was told to NOT make the payment for October, again asking if I was closing in October and they said my mortgage payment is not late until after the 15th of the month, but they could not again confirm if we were closing by then.....we didn't close until the end of October, when the closing paperwork was received by myself to review it included the appraisal (which in itself was a total cluster as they switched appraisers prior to the actual appraisal so two showed up at my home). I provided the paper work where I paid for the appraisal and the contact at HomeBridge to get it removed, If I would not have noticed I would have paid an additional $500. Now my journey has not ended there. My roof was damaged in March scheduled for repair in July. My insurance company paid over $18k for the repairs and to day I have only received a little over $6K I will gladly provide you with details of my conversations with the claims department where I only received a call after I attached a nasty letter to my documents that I was told were not necessary. Again my experience with this mortgage company has been nothing short of a major hassle. I will never recommend them to anyone.....now my roof is repaired but I still have damages I am waiting on the contractor to finish as they are waiting for me to receive the balance of MY Insurance money to cover the invoice of the roof.

they are easy to get a loan with but …
they are easy to get a loan with but when you have a problem be prepared they will try to take your home! they wont even live up to the commitments they make or accept your payments, or apply your payments or even give you a statement.

Horrible experience with a Homestyle Loan - draw process failure.
Our renovation loan was transferred to HomeBridge as soon as it was signed, as HomeBridge bought out Prospect Mortgage. Service for the escrow draws to pay our contractor have been abysmal and continue to get worse. Long delays, sudden changes to draw coordinator, ignoring established protocols and non-responsive staff. This has nearly wrecked our build process, and our contractor may still pull out of the contract because of HomeBridge's terrible service. I was not even given a phone number to communicate with our new draw coordinator, and have no idea who to contact. Clearly HomeBridge has no interest in providing even a basic level of customer service now that they have harvested all the fees from our loan process. This is unacceptable.

I'm an investor and had my share …
I'm an investor and had my share working with Lenders, I recently was unfortunate to deal with this lender. in my personal opinion; this lender doesn't see you as a customer but they make you feel unappreciated, they were rude, unprofessional and they lack the concept of communication. I would rather pay higher interests rate with other lenders rather than working with them again.

We are writing this review because we didn't pay attention to the negative reviews and we want to save you the aggravation, frustration, and continuous misinformation that we encountered with Homebridge. Our advice to you is to stay FAR, FAR AWAY!!! Everything was peachy keen in the beginning, they quoted us a great rate, etc. and then communication stopped, and it went drastically downhill. We started at a lower rate and we kept calling to confirm and lock in the rate, and we never heard from our rep....time to close, rate went up. This is only one of many, many mishaps with this company. We have had upsets in our lives in our 60's...but nothing that caused us so much stress as this company caused us. Again, we repeat, stay far, far away from Homebridge. K & S from upstate NY

VA loan Horrible experience
Contacted them about loan in Dec 2016. Gave up on them March 27th. Three full months. I had to do most of the explaining about questions because they didn't know what they were doing. Worst buying experience I've had. Took 9 weeks to get to underwriting. Took my new lender 10 days. Not to mention the person I was dealing with went out of town on my closing date, and of course there were issues. A week later she did the exact same thing. I'm in the process of writing the company a lengthy letter.

Horrible Customer Service
We refinanced our mortgage through this company. After having fraud on our account, they locked down our account and are now forcing us to send a certified check for 6 months. We asked for an exception considering we've paid on time every month and pay off an additional $500 every month, but nope the manager wouldn't even get on the phone with me. Crap happens in life and to not make an exception is horrible customer service especially when it's due to fraud on the account. Unfortunately we are stuck now for awhile with this company, but something to consider if you are thinking about financing through them.

Would give 0 stars if was applicable
Would give 0 stars if was applicable. Currently just closed on a 203k loan through Homebridge Mortgage. Had nothing but headaches with miscommunication throughout. Would be told 1 day everything was going smoothly, only to be called the next day with requests for multiple documents stated they needed to be in "yesterday" to make deadlines. Ultimately closed almost near when expected (within a few days) and that was the only bright spot. Since closing I am now experiencing trouble getting MY MONEY. Had consultant out to inspect repairs and was told everything looked good. Was told I would have a draw check later that week. It is now 15 days later and I have been told the check would be in my hands on 3 separate dates. Have yet to receive check. This all while I am currently paying on the mortgage already due to them screwing up cash due at closing. Calls made to find the hold up have been cloudy at best. I am told they are awaiting some title check. Confusing considering they had my title at closing. I asked for contact info to contact company they are awaiting the title from and have been told I cannot have the info. So basically I am sitting here now with no draw check, with multiple contractors looking for money and a drained bank account for having put up my own money for upfront costs.

Horrible.
Closing was delayed a month and a half. Many different people emailing me, asking for documents that they already had. They act like they just want to get paid instead of helping you get what you want. Weren't very good at responding. Had to email many times to get a response. Called the office number and cell of Brian with no answer many times. Will never use them or recommend them to anyone I know.

Mistakes and Rudeness
First of all, I was not given a single point of contact throughout the process. Instead, I communicated with several different people, who at times did not seem to be communicating adequately with each other. Disclosures were riddled with errors, including the final cost to close being approximately $5,000 lower than what it actually cost me to close on my loan. Even though this error was brought to light earlier in the week, the documentation sent to title still reflected the mistake, which caused us to have to sign our documentation twice. Finally, my seller's agent reported experiencing rudeness from the staff. However, I have been told that the employee in question was dealt with appropriately.

Terrible Experience
My experience was absolutely horrible working with the HomeBridge team on my loan. During the servicing of my loan my loan officer was rude to myself and my fiance while inquiring on the status of our loan, also the loan officer did not outline our loan options in detail prior to asking us for a decision on tbe product we wanted to move forward with. Also, the loan officer did not provide me with an estimate based on numbers that were a reflection of our qualifications, but not factually based on any formula which led to her being removed from our file all together. Additionally, the loan processor and loan officer were terminated 2 weeks before our scheduled closing date, which again created uncertainty in the process and created additional stressors on myself and my family. Overall I had a horrible experience working with HomeBridge and would not recommend them moving forward.

Dragged out refinance til rate lock passed
Dragged out our closing for over 2 months until our very favorable interest rate lock was over and then, once rates skyrocketed, were suddenly ready to close ASAP. Have not refunded any associated costs as promised.

missed communication about monthly payment increase by $100.00 and auto payment was sent through online banking week before due date as it was set up but HB did not apply funds to the account . Soon i found out ,Called customer service to explain honest mistake & told that just sent extra amount which should be applied in 2 days,so please adjust late fee charges. Rep told me that she will take care of late fee and check back on the account in 2 days to make sure the account is current. 6 days later I called again to make sure late fee was adjusted and account was current,Rep told me that Late fee has been applied to the account since the payment has been made there is noway that late fee charges can be refunded. I talked to the supervisor & she told that once the payment is made they cant credit or refund late fee charges.I told her about my last week conversation with HB rep & asked her to check call history but she did not care & repeated cant refund or credit towards loan amount since the payment has been made.

A Huge Mistake!
Horrible communication, rude managers, left in hold for 20 minutes, unresolved cases of payment not properly processed. Refuses to take responsibility for their erroneous acts of processing payments. Issues keep repeating itself yet the manager claims it's a Credit Union issue. What about the inept capabilities of the workers????? Using this institute was an absolute MISTAKE! I would Never recommend this Financial Institute to anyone! They are all all about collecting unnecessary fees!

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. I have had two negative experiences within the past month. The first - a simple question - why has my mortgage been reduced by $229 and will it continue to be $229 less? It took 3 separate phone calls with three different reps for someone to realize that my taxes had been reassessed earlier than normal. The first phone call ended with me being "disconnected" after customer service kept dancing around the question I was asking. The second phone call ended with "well, you'll see on your bill next month." The third customer rep finally knew something and gave me an answer. My second issue with this company is that it has been over 2 full weeks since I have requested a name change and it still hasn't happened!!!! I originally was told that I had to fax my marriage certificate, social security card and license to them and that the change would take affect immediately. Hours later, I called to confirm receipt of the fax. It was "never received." I had a confirmation report on my end. So I send 3 or 4 more faxes while on the phone with a rep and those, as well, were not received. Shanika told me to email her my information and should would pass it along to the Account Maintenance Department so that they could update my information. I have all of this in an email thread nonetheless. Fast forward to today (more than two weeks later) - a new rep says that the never received any information with regard to my name change. After 10 minutes on the phone, she says that I can change it online. Well, good thing I had her stay on the phone with me while I tried to change it online because THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE. She says, "Oh, oops. That's strange." I am then told to fax over my paperwork. So, if you didn't get the first seven faxes, why would I trust to fax over this important information for an eighth time? I told her no and asked for an email address so that I could also receive a confirmation on Homebridge's end. Nothing. No email address. No Account Maintenance Department (I was told that there is no such thing!!!!!). RIDICULOUS. STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE.
