Contractors Beware!!!
I am a contractor currently working on a Homebridge 203k loan project. I took over for another contractor that couldn’t finish the project. My team and I have been working on this project for 7 weeks and have put over $40k of our own money into it (materials, sub contractors) and thought things were going well. I’ve worked on these projects before and know the routine pretty well. Do your work, submit draw request, get paid. This company is beyond inept. I contacted them at the beginning of December to find out the process to get paid (ie: lead times for payments). They informed me that the process takes 5-7 day’s. We initiated a draw 12/10/2019 for our first draw to compensate for the money we’ve already invested into the project. DECEMBER 10th. They delayed our processing because paperwork was not signed completely. Once we had all the paperwork signed and turned in (12th) we were informed it would be 5-7 business days from that point. Ok. Should still get paid before Christmas. Nope. They wanted my updated license paperwork (sent in end of November for renewal) that generally takes 30 days to receive in the mail. I had to go to the city, pay a $400 expedite fee for the paperwork, then turn it into them. Now it’s going to take an additional 5-7 days from this point (18th) to process our payment request. We were told they would have our payment ready on Monday and 2-Day overnight it to us. That was a lie as well. The payment is still currently sitting at their office (UPS Tracking Number Confirmed). This means that my team will not receive a check for our services until well after New Years. 3 families have faced financial hardship because of this during the Holidays. The owners jobsite has been shut down until payment is complete. This company doesn’t even offer direct deposit with the contractor and the checks are 2 party checks. Meaning that I have to have the owner receive the check, sign it over, take to my bank, deposit it, wait for funds to clear and THEN pay the numerous people waiting on money. By far the absolute worst finance company I have ever worked with in my life. Will avoid like the plague in the future.

Dont believe what they say!!
We have been lied to from the start and now we have to pay extra fees because they did not keep their word from the original person that must have brightened up and left the company. 1st and last time we use this company. We will be refinancing to a different company as soon as we are able.

WARNING!
Having a horrible experience with company. Can't wait to refinance and never deal with them again. Seems like no one speaks to each other in this company. Was basically called a liar about my property even though we have sent pictures and have a third party HUD consultant. And continue to give me different reasons on why they won't release money with my renovation loan. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone! We were first time home buyers and was completely taken advantage of.

WARNING
The experience that my husband and I have had with Homebridge has been horrific. Our mortgage was initially serviced with the Homebridge in Georgia. We found out that our mortgage had been sold to the HomeBridge in New Jersey. My husband and I were unaware why our loan was sold. Unfortunately there was not enough money going into our escrow account for our taxes. We were almost $7000.00 in arrears. Our initial servicer had never informed us that we needed extra money going to the escrow. Now we are in a repayment plan because we missed payments because we did not know and we needed time to come up with the $4500 that was needed. Our escrow continues to be negative, our credit took a hit because Homebridge reported our mortgage 30 days late. I have since lost my job. My husband and I have asked for assistance while I look for employment. The process is so slow, 30 days or longer meanwhile we're still behind two months with our mortgage and escrow. I'm not sure how everyone says this company is helpful and great. From our experience with HomeBridge, they are HORRIBLE. Stay away.

Painful company
Painful company. Just check your reviews in google for Iselin branch in Newjersy. They are more genuine. All reviews on your website are fabricated.. It took 60 days for a loan process and don't respond to provide updates. Each time we upload a document it takes 72 hrs for each document to get validated and after 72 hours they ask for other document and it takes more 72 hours to validate. Really don't know how this company grew so big with this reviews. I don't know if this review will be even considered by company. I will post same on google so that it becomes more public

Terrible Customer Service
My wife and I were referred to Steve Kavaljian's services by our agent. In my first phone conversation with Steve, he was almost immediately rude and condescending. This was an enormous red flag for even poorer service that would certainly come. It's hard to imagine how Homebridge has Mortgage Loan Originators under their employ, with such infuriatingly atrocious phone etiquette.

VERY RUDE-BAD SERVICE
We were suggested by our agent to speak/consult with a lender. He advised talking to Steve Kavaljian. From the moment he responded, he was extremely RUDE, condescending to first time home buyers, and he was unprofessional. I will never use his services, as well as the company he represents.

Just to much
Just to much! every detail in the world gave a gift to my parents for the down payment I choose to pull the funds from two of my other accounts they wanted letters and statement that has nothing to do with my parents loan. As long as I gave them what they need why do i need to give my personal information to a company i will never deal with. There whole process is just wrong and make the party discourage on this whole loan process

Terrible customer service
We orignally got our mortgage through a 3rd party broker, so I cannot speak on that process. However, my experience with their customer service afterwards was just awful. I would call with a question, and dependinf who I talked to, I would get completely different answers. I was told by a rep one day that I called to check on a payment and got several different answers. I call the first to check on a payment that I mailed that had not cleared and I was told not to worry as long as it was there by a certain date (in 3 days at the time) that there was no problem, but I was welcome to keep checking with a different department. I call the next day to check with that department and I am told to speak to a different one. I call the day after that and get told I'm not allowed to get information from that different department. They would not even say where my payment was or if they received, even though it was before the deadline and I was told to call and ask them specifically. There is a huge disconnent between reps on how anything works. It made a difficult process even more frustrating. I was very happy when our loan was suddenly sold off to another company. I will never deal with this lender again.

The service and paperwork is terrible
The service and paperwork is terrible (considering is 2019). I do not recommend this service. Lots of people email you but at the moment that you need questions to answer, people on the mail say "happy to receive your call" but then the"y treat you with disrespect. They do not provide with the correct quote and try to take every penny you can possibly have, especially when they are waiting for the rate of the mortgage. Thus was a terrible service, in summary I do not recommend it. They do not know how to handle costumers or even provide cordial greetings.

My husband and I had the worst…
My husband and I had the worst experience with homebridge. We actually had to switch to another company because they would not give us an answer about when we would close and this lasted several months. We would call and email Amy Osborne she hardly ever answered us and when she did she was very rude and unprofessional. Our realtor also said she would never use this lender again because of the bad experience we got from this.

DO NOT USE HIM, AWEFUL SERVICE & LAZY!! STAY AWAY
My wife and I are 1st time home buyers and found the house we loved after 3 months of searching. After we wrote a contract out that would close on 12/13/18, Jeff was so late on filing everything for our mortage loan and said theres no way we would be able to close before the 27th. My wife is a loan officer assistant for one of the largest companies in the southeast, and knows a lot about filing for mortgages, so when we realized our closing date was extended because of Mr. Covin laziness, we decided that we had to call and question him on when things were getting done and what not. So this man started yelling at my wife that " he will not be questioned about this anymore and that he would not talk to her anymore about this," and literally brought her to tears. So we will not being buisness with him or his company. I would give him 0 stars of I could. So if this sounds like a good experience go ahead and use him, but I promise he will make you regret ever trying to buy a home with him! This will not be the last time they hear from me either.

Boy did they screw this deal up
Boy did they screw this deal up. I hate to give a bad review like this but Homebridge in Kailua-Kona messed up our mortgage process so bad that my wife and I ended losing the house we were trying to buy and will be MOVING INTO OUR CAR! REALLY! But the worst part is they have not made any effort to remedy the problems they caused. Management simply ignores you. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Worse Mtge Company ever!!
Well I live in SA. Tx . I dealt w this woman that first, checked my credit w my authorization and we were not rdy. To proceed.. Next month on March this year she contacted me, and we started working on my refinance again, but I’m any moment she advised me nor asked for my authorization to recheck my credit! Well to my surprise by April, I had already 3 hard enquiers from HOMEBRIDGE!! One was even only 7 days away from first one!! I confronted her about it, and her response was, “ Don’t Worry they won’t affect u At all, they go away right away” which I beleived... Now my scores went down, I tried to get a credit card and I received a letter of denial that reads” You have too many hard enquiers” 😡. I contacted Corporate and to my surprise! They say , they have NO supervisors , NO SUPERVISORS!! What kind of Company is this?! Well finally I got to talk to a lady on a complaint Dept. And after almost a month of working w her and emails and phone calls back and forth ... Her answer was “ We won’t remove those 3 Enquiers from your credit. Thank you!” Be very careful w this Company and your loan Rep. your working with , I heard they’re very uncoordinated and No supervision whatsoever! My next step will be to suit them for ruining my credit !!

bait and switch. sent a letter saying that we didn't need an appraisal then 4 weeks later we needed to come up with 500 dollars for an appraisal. We chose them over the others because of this. Then they pulled a fast one.

This was a major headache...MAJOR!
This was a major headache...MAJOR!! Where can i start? Lets start with the 6 or was it 7 different people that handled our loan. One would ask for something and then someone else 2 or 3 days later asking for same thing. When we were not going through with the home because of an appraisal i had the boss call me. Gee, losing business now they call and try to push you to go through with it. Well, i guess they pushed the realtors because they made it happen somehow at the 11th hour...no joke on the 11th hour. Then the process starts all over again. Financial statements. W2s. Copies of cashed checks. A $50 deposit....yes $50! The list went on and each day it was something new...AND we would get the emails around 3 or 4 in the afternoon after they got the big jobs (the money makers) done in the morning. The biggest laugh was one of the 7 we dealt with asked us to send something ASAP. We did within 20 min and got an automatic reply that he was gone for the rest of the day. The next good one was closing set for 11am on wed. 3pm, 4pm, 5pm passes by on tuesday (day before close) and we have no idea what cash amount to bring or where to meet. At 650pm one of the 7 calls and says the closing has been moved to Thursday at 11am. Nooo? Really? What a shock! Wednesday comes and more documents needed. Leave a reply ( remember all of this is done at 3 or 4pm for the little loans) at 3pm with requested docs and say "our bank closes at 5pm" in our email. Remember we still did not have a final number of what to bring. Within 5 minutes we got responses!!! Now comes day of closing. We get here to the area of our new home and at 10:03am we are notified closing is at 4pm. I wont drag this on but we finally closed at 4pm. This company has no respect for your time, your life, or anything but to make a buck for themselves. We have jobs and i have my own business and i had to reschedule 3 times for 3 clients because of this debacle. Doesnt matter. Homebridge got their cash and are working hard to sell it off to the next lender. From what I've read it looks like Cenlar is the next company i will have. Again, no regard for your life as you have to work around their schedule!!! Brutal company! Just brutal!

If this is a VA loan they will sell after closing
I am being forced to change my review again cause the last one Homebridge does not like. Guess the truth hurts. So much for honest reviews. So just days of me closing on my house with Homebridge my loan was sold to Cenlar. Was not notified till after my first months payment. Homebridge held on to my money till I finally got a hold of them to release it to Cenlar. You think they would have just done this automatically but no they cannot even notify me of selling my loan till Cenlar starts demanding payments from me to them. I figured I would use Homebridge cause of all the good reviews (now I know Homebridge can get reviews changed to their liking) and seems like it would have kept my loan local. Well I guess Homebridge didn't want my VA loan. Was very frustrating trying to get answers from Homebridge once this happened. I will not recommend this company to anybody.
