I wish I could give zero stars
I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered shoes that came way smaller than the size they are marked. They also came way later than expected. Email response says to be patient because they are busy. Phone message says I cannot leave a voice mail because the email is full. Yes you read that correctly. Scam

My sons xero's were coming apart after…
My sons xero's were coming apart after 6 months use. Customer service via email were really helpful and sent out a replacement pair free of charge the same day, brilliant service. They honour their guarantee, that gives me confidence to buy more.

Never Purchase Xero Shoes
I will never purchase a pair of Xero shoes again in my life. My Mother in Law got me a pair of the Prios for Christmas for me to wear at the gym where I lift but also do HIIT training classes. Immediately the right insole started to come out of the shoe while wearing them. Even if I walk at a brisk pace, let alone due exercise. So I reached out to customer service and they sent a new pair of insoles. Ok, I tried that and it doesn't work. I reached out to let them know it didn't work and request a new pair of shoes as it's incredibly frustrating to have to stop my workout to adjust my shoe all the time. That was last Thursday when I asked again, still haven't gotten a response (today is a Tuesday). BUT I noticed that in the email where the sent the new insoles they instructed me that if this doesn't work that I should buy some double-sided tape and adhere the insole to the shoe myself and they will pay me back for the tape... So, let me get this straight - the shoe doesn't work, it's a huge pain in the butt and instead of sending a new pair I'm told to go buy some tape and fix it myself? That's the approach to customer service? Fix it myself? These are $90 shoes...not cheap. I expect much better customer service and a company willing to offer a replacement pair of shoes when they don't function as expected vs. taping them together. What a joke.

Comfy but terrible durability.
It pains me to write this as I actually like the shoes before they fall apart. But I feel I should warn other buyers. First I bought a pair of black Prios, which I loved at first. However after a month of general wear and gym work, they started peeling away at the front. I complained/sent photos to the company and they very quickly sent out a new pair. Unfortunately the new pair did not feel true to size, they squashed my toes and just felt totally different. I ended up gluing the original pair and wearing those... they are now peeling away at the sides. I then thought I'd give them a 2nd chance so 3 months ago I bought the Z-Trail sandals for summer, costing $150 AUD. I barely even worn them consistently, and within 2 months the stitching which holds the straps on the soles started to unthread a peel away... So disappointing for such an expensive pair of sandals. I complained again but before even messaging me they have sent out a new pair. I didn't want a new pair.. I want to send them back for a refund. Why would I want more shoddy footwear that's also going to fall apart again. Now that's $75 a pair which I still wouldn't pay for them now. I don't understand how Xero Shoes get good reviews from review sites. I won't be buying anymore shoes from them... Think I'll move to Vivo Barefoot. ADD ON: Told me they'd contact me... Still haven't... I won't hold my breath haha.

Expensive returns
Don't order from this company if you haven't already tried on the shoes at a local shoe store! I ordered a pair at a friend's recommendation and didn't like the feel of them. They refunded $15 less than I paid for them (charged for original shipping AND $9.99 to ship them back.) The policy is stated on their website but it's not a great one if they want customers to try them out again. I certainly won't be. Order # 6441712

terrible running sandal shoes
So I’ve bought their diy sandals, twice. Both times struggled sooooo much to figure out the right knots and loops to have a sandal capable for running +3mi. Every-time i thought “i had it” i would get 1-3 uses before the dyi straps tear off always mid-run. In reality their DYI sandals are useless trash, unless you lay in the couch all day then sandals are perfect 👌🏽 Their other sandals, (ztrek) experienced huge amounts of discomfort during the initial runs (had to fix straps constantly). their company says the sole last longer than 1k miles, Ha! bunch of bs!! got through my ztrek soles in less than 300 miles, only got a discount towards my next purchase & not a full reimbursement. overall very disappointed with the company, at face value they seem legit: in terms of their products, and customer service. but in reality their minimalist (running) sandal shoes are trash, even worse they keep posting & giving themselves great reviews, but are not inclined to a honest negative review.

Bad company with bad conduct.
I bought an Mesa Trail and a Sandal from Xero Shoes. I was expecting much more for the price they ask on their products. Well I guess they are minimal on building material, but not minimal on pricing. The Mesa trail is confortable and light weight, but that`s it. The insole will skip out of the shoes right throught the ankles and fall - I never seen this before in a shoe. Overall it`s not a bad shoe but not worth the price they ask of 100 bucks. Regarding the sandal is really badly built and for sure not worth $80 that they ask for it. Another important thing about this company. They FILTER reviews at their website, which is a really really bad conduct. If you check the scores here in TP or other platforms, it`s very differnt from the reviews on their own website. I have written a review at their platform, and weirdly enought it never appeared at the page of the product!! My advice is to stay away from XERO SHOES.

Horrible poor quality and very bad manufactured
I can't understand where all these good comments come from on their own website. I can’t believe that they all are based on true longer experiences and I’m sure they are filtering them. Really.. I have never walked before on such bad/poor quality shoes or sandals. I have now walked about 40km on the z trail sandals and they are now ready to throw away. The soles are already so damaged in some places and due to the difference in hardness of the profile, bumps are now appearing through the sole under my heel, so that you can no longer walk on them. The Mesa trail 2 shoes now get the same problem after 2 easy walks! Just bad developed and manufactured shoes. I am an experienced hiker and I have been walking on Vivobarefoot shoes for years and I did camino’s of 1000km plus! and have never had any kind of issues with other shoes then like with Xero shoes. In short.. a very bad experience with Xero shoes, super disappointed! super low quality and very bad manufactured.. My advice, Just don't buy this brand. Spend a bit extra money for the better barefoot shoes.

I bought a pair of Xero Aqua X Sport shows and after a week or so or very light use there is a noticeable tear across the mesh on the inside part of the foot, a problem that has begun to occur in exactly the same part of the other shoe! Having bought these from Spain and living in the U.K it would be a nightmare even attempting to return them. Having paid £130 I'm upset and dissapointed

I bought a pair of teraflex II
I bought a pair of teraflex II. The first pair fell apart within 6 months. The mesh ripped. They sent me a replacement pair and they ripped even faster. 2 months of light wear, not even trail running as they are designed for, and they are ripping too. The reviews on the site are deceiving. I was deceived by them. An honest review would mention these issues. Shame, I really like these shoes, but the quality is just so horrible. I will not be repurchasing these as they are just unusable due to the manufacturing. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone because of this low quality manufacturing. Nike shoes lasted me longer when I was doing a lot more intense walking.

Not fully refunded…
I bought a pair of women’s sandals and they were too large when they arrived. No big deal. However, upon returning the shoes within 5 days of purchase in original packaging the company still did not fully refund my purchase. Maybe it’s only 16$, but for me, it’s unethical and it shows poor customer care. I was thinking about shopping with them in the future and now I never will.

And, though we've not quite found a way to make free returns viable at this time, we DO offer free domestic exchanges! I bought the z-trek. My worst mistake.
I bought the z-trek and: - Uncomfortable - The adjustment is terrible - Really cheap materials (low quality) - Not real barefoot (almost no feeling of the ground) The delivery: Paid 13€. It arrived +1 week late (than expected) Customer service: Inexistent I want to update my review two days after reading the reply from Xero: It's all bias and lies to make the potential buyers think that the company provides any help or they have any company-values other than dragging the money of the people selling them (us) a cheap overpriced product (not to talk about the refund policies, which are 'questionable', at least for the European standards). "We can find a solution". Lol, in Wonderland, I suppose.

Ordered Xero prio for the gym
Ordered Xero prio for the gym, paid 7 bucks for shipping on a 100 buck order. Waited 7 days instead of the 1-2 days shipping i paid for. Just to find out that the sizing on the website is wrong for the EU market. 45 is a US 12 for xero when actually 45 is a US 11.5, i even measured my feet to find the right size just to find out the shoes are significantly larger than advertised. This is very confusing and very missleading. Had return the shoes same day they came... I am now waiting for the refund, so i can order the shoes a half size down. But as I read here... xero doesnt do full refund so i might just buy other shoes... sadly

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. My sandals wore out in the sole within 24 months, I contacted them about the warranty and was told I’d have to destroy my old sandals to qualify. I was confused but cut the straps as asked. Then they asked for $48 dollars for the replacement shoes, and for me to SHIP MY SHOES TO THE USA FROM EUROPE. Absolute madness and customer service have been awful. Might as well buy a completely new pair for how much it all costs, so the warranty is useless. Really disappointed and won’t buy again.

Customer service is not good
Customer service is not good. The shoes I ordered may very well be great, but my point with this is I don't have them, and after several days from the order, there's still nothing on the order past the status "processing". Their website says to feel free to call, so I called to inquire about my order. Got a message that due to their sale, they aren't answering the phone! and they recommended to email. I emailed and got a robotic reply saying due to the volume of inquiries with the sale, please allow 3 to 5 business days to get a reply. What a lousy way to run an online business. If they're that busy, so busy that it takes many days to put shoes in a box and ship, so busy that they don't even answer the phone when the website invites phone calls, and so busy that an email can't be responded to within a few days, they should be able to afford to hire more people to give decent customer service. This kind of thing is inexcusable. I hope I eventually get these shoes and I hope I like them, but I sure won't order from them again. It's ridiculous this kind of fulfillment delay and this king of inaccessability

Not barefoot shoes!
I ordered two pairs of their shoes expecting normal fit like my Vivobarefoot and Altra shoes, they have a zero drop, but I was surprised after a walk around the house that they're way narrower than a normal barefoot shoes. I contacted customer service so that I can return them but the answer was either a 100% credit to use on the shop (which I don't want because of the fit) or a 70% refund because the shoes are worn! Excluding paying for shipping twice.

Though sizing can vary from brand to brand, the general feedback from our customers is that most of our styles fit true to size. Also, we do offer exchanges (including shipping), and we provide a full credit on the product price (not including shipping) if someone simply wants to return their pair for a refund. We only accept returns in clean, brand new condition, so it sounds like there was something with the returned pairs that flagged them as not-resellable. In cases where we can not offer a full refund due to the condition of the shoes, our returns department provides photos of the issue to help explain our decision. Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They don't respond when you ask questions and don't respond when you need to return things. The company is crap. I wish I would have read the reviews here before ordering from them! I will never order from them again. I'm going to try out other brands with better reputations. Customer service goes a long way...

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! [UPDATED]
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I ordered two pairs of XERO shoes (6/24/23) after researching online for quite some time. When I received them (7/3/23) I found they were too big and not for me. I returned them, never having worn them and in the original packaging per the website instructions for exchanges/returns (7/5/23). [Website return policy: We accept products for exchange or return that are in brand new, unworn and unaltered condition within 45 days of the original order date. Shoes and sandals that have been worn outside do not qualify for exchange or return. Be sure to inspect the product before returning, and include the original packing materials, if possible. Your request will be processed within 10 business days of receipt.] On 7/14/23, I reached out to the company and was unable to speak with a customer service representative because NOBODY answers the calls! I’ve tried several days/times since that date. I then turned to the “customer happy team” and sent an email (as instructed) on 7/14/23, inquiring about the status of my return/refund. I received an automated response on the same day saying “Xero Shoes will get back to you ASAP” — it sounded promising until I read further that “it may take them 7-9 business days to get back to me”. That in itself felt “off putting” because it didn’t take them that long to take my payment in full ($259 inc. shipping). Then at the end of the email, they tell me “P.S. In the meantime, enjoy the adorable photo of our friend, Claudio, who is our newest member to Xero!” What?! Who?! I’m an animal lover and Claudio may be the best thing that company has going for it but I don’t appreciate the deflection to entertain me while ignoring their lack of effort and deplorable customer service/company standards to address my concerns and refund my purchase. Despite their *WARNING: Duplicate messages may result in a longer wait time.” - I reached out again with my same message inquiring about the status of my return/refund on 7/17/23 & 7/18/23. No response. No email. Nada. Zip. Zilch. ZERO, FROM XERO!!! I don’t even know at this point if this is a real company and/or if I will ever see my money back!!! I certainly will never purchase anything from them and/or recommend them to anyone. If anything, I would discourage anyone from dealing with XERO shoes!!! Don’t waste your time or money, or you could end up having an experience like mine or other posted reviews. I also find it hard to believe they are so busy with their “BIG SALE” trying to sell, sell, sell those sneakers that they don’t treat the customers that have paid full price for their products with the happiness their team promises on their website. Maybe Trustpilot is the way to get a response from this company
I ordered a pair of shoes on June 24th. They arrived 9 days later on July 3. After going back and forth about keeping the shoes (despite claiming "true to size," they're too long), I considered returning them and printed a shipping label. Then I decided to contact customer service on July 13 to ask a question about the fit of the next smaller size (before going through with their highly inconvenient returns process), because they encourage you to reach out. It's July 22nd and I haven't heard back. I've decided that instead of continuing to wait for a response that may not even come, I should go ahead and exchange for a smaller size. But it turns out that I cannot reprint the shipping label, so I reached out a second time. Because it takes so long to get a response, I'm pretty confident that I won't hear back within the 45 day window, which would leave me with an unreturnable pair of shoes that don't fit. To make a return or exchange with this company, you are required to make a whole separate purchase. I honestly don't want to be out $100 for new shoes and risk not hearing back about the shipping label, and being stuck with the other pair because I can't do something as simple as reprint a shipping label myself. Is this company doing so well that they have so much business that their customer service department is so slammed (even after "hiring more people") that they can't respond to anyone in a timely manner? Or are they doing so poorly that they can't afford to the correct number of people and also simply MUST charge people for return shipping to stay afloat? It's really confusing and makes it hard for me to trust this company. I'm very concerned for the health of their employees if the workload is THAT HEAVY that even after "hiring more people" like they claim, they still can't respond within a couple of days. It's a shame because I do like some of their shoes, but it's SUCH a pain to deal with them. So rather than taking a gamble that someone responds to me by August 7 and having no time to complete a return, I am being proactive and posting a review on Trustpilot because that's how people seem to hear back from this company. I hope this also helps others set their expectations if they decide to try these shoes. (And yes, xero, putting a picture of someone's dog as consolation after telling your customers it'll be more than a week before someone will maybe get back to them is a bad look.)
