Kathy Made My Day!
Kathy was amazing to work with, polite and helpful. She explained everything clearly and emailed us exactly what we were needing for information and documents. Kathy also had a pleasant personality and answered all of my questions including the time limit we had to make the claim. It was so nice to have a voice of calm and someone so knowledgeable.

Worst trip insurance company ever!
Trip to Peru/Machu Picchu was cancelled due to several issues in Peru, primary being no train service to Machu Picchu. Trawick provided conflicting information on whether the claim was covered. It is clear that they are doing everything they can to avoid paying a claim, or provide other options, as promised. Use another, reputable insurance provider!

Document, Document, Document & stay on it
I travel a lot and this was the first time I ever took out trip insurance. *Selling staff was informative, friendly, helpful. *Having been in the travel industry I knew to document absolutely everything. * I had travel insurance through Trawick and they came through for me but I have a couple of pieces of advice: -Read what is (and isn't)covered before you sign up ...(seems like "dud" but easy to hear what you want to hear...rather than thoroughly READ the rules) -Print out and take with you exactly what they will require for documentation to file a claim. ** My trip to Peru was cut short by illness. I got copies of EVERYTHING (Dr bill, prescriptions, letter from group leader etc) Upon return I filed the claim with 9 documents...but they even required my boarding passes for flights home which I wasn't even claiming. Presumably to verify dates etc. Even though I filed within 30 days of my return it took months, follow-up emails, phone calls, etc. to receive reimbursement. But eureka...they did come through. It required a lot of work and meticulous documentation on my end (everything done electronically so had to scan all dox). I dropped a star for the hassle of processing but they did come through.

Great fast and thorough customer service
Your representative, Kathy Wilson did an outstanding job in transferring coverage on a canceled trip to a new trip. She was very friendly, made me feel comfortable and valued as a customer. I was prepared to face a hassle, but not with Kathy!

This company seems to be a scam
This company seems to be a scam. They're great for the part where they take your money and tell you, you are insured. If you ever make a claim, you will never see any money, they will never actually review the claim but tell you that it takes 15 days. When in reality, if they pay you it will be many years, but probably never... I am unsure how this company is allowed to operate in the United States at all.

Do not hesitate! Get Trawick Travel Insurance!
I have always been hesitant about travel insurance, but I’m so grateful I finally started using Trawick. Getting Trawick insurance was a lifesaver for our Hawaii trip! Our flights got completely changed through the airline, and we had to completely rebook putting us in a real financial bind. Luckily, with all the appropriate paperwork, I submitted a request, and got refunded through Trawick due to the trip delay. We will be getting travel insurance through Trawick for every trip we go on from now on!
