Used Bread for a split payment - Not a smart choice. F them
Used Bread for a split payment. Delivered product was damaged and the vendor submitted an RMA and full refund for the product. After 2+ weeks, bread has yet to issue the refund.

Molded Bread-past expiration date. Avoid!!!
This outfit is a joke!!! I went to make a purchase and finance for a second time within two months from bread and was declined, because they couldn't confirm my identity. What?? I just recieved Financing for a purchase ( approved ) by you two months ago and payments have been ahead of schedule. Now you dont know who i am? This has to do with the fact that they used an old address ( used for a pre-approval ) on file for this rejection. I told them that this address was no longer used, and that the first approved loan was done with the proper address. I was met with "all decisions are final and you can no longer be approved" I asked that the address be corrected, which they did, but still said i can no longer be approved? I asked, For this loan? or all future loans? "all loans" I was told. Very unorganized and unprofessional. The people that i spoke with, all seemed as if the were reading how to respond to questions off of a paper. I was put on hold a number of times. When I asked to talk to a supervisor, I was told that they were all helping other customers but would call me back......never received a call back. I have Excellent credit and the amount to be financed was well below the pre-approved amount. After reading about others, that have been hit with very high interest rates, I have to wonder if this was an out for them due to my first loans interest rate being low? I find the positive reviews here to be suspect.

I would like to share my short bad experience with Bread Financial
I would like to share my short experience with this finance Company. Approximately 4 months ago, I purchased a computer and used this Company to finance the purchase. The contract offers 6 months same as cash. Each month, since the purchase, I've made monthly payments between the 1st and the 6th of each month. Be advised that the actual due date isn't until the 18 of each month. Also, be advised that , I always paid a couple of hundred more than the minimum due. Now, with all of that being said, I would get a text/email from the finance company saying that my payment was coming due. Keep in mind that , I always paid before the actual due date. Then in June, I not only get the message stating that my payment is coming due, but once the due date passed. I then got a message stating that my payment was past due. Previously, I would just ignore the messages about my payment coming due, even though it was already paid between the 1 and the 6. But when , I got the message stating that my payment was past due, I decided to call the Company to see what was really going on. The call started off with a lady answering the phone with a very nasty attitude asking how can she help. I proceeded to explain my situation to her and asked her how is my payment past due when it was paid on the 6 of June and deducted from my account on June 8 and more than the minimum due was paid. She was not interested in trying to explain/clarity anything for me. She just really wanted to argue. She could not explain anything to me because she was so argumentative, so she then said very rudely, "Let me get you to my manager, maybe she can explain it to you." The manager then politely got on and tried to explain to me that when they got the payment on the 6 of the month, they didn't know whether to apply it to the interest or the principal. I then asked her why would there be interest if it is a "6 months same as cash" contract? I'm paying more than the minimum due because , I am trying to pay if off within the 6 months so no interest will be added. The manager then realized that it was an error on their part and said that she would take care of it and make sure that the payment is applied to the account correctly. My advice to anybody considering using the Bread Company to finance a purchase: Please pay attention to the message/emails that they send you and absolutely pay attention to payments that are made on your account and that they are applied as they should be. I think the closer you get to paying it off without interest they try to reallocate funds to benefit them and you end up paying more than you should. That will NOT be the case with me.

Worst Company I've Ever Done Business With
Worst company I've ever done business with. Beware. I took out two different loans. One zero percent interest for 6 months and one with interest for 18 months. I paid extra each month to payoff sooner on each account. Instead of applying the additional principle on the loans, they extended the payoff periods. I went in to find out what the payoffs were for loans that should have been worth at that point $1,100, to $2,600 for additional interest. I received notices that my accounts were past due. It took three different phone calls for them to correct and get them paid off. All they do is argue with you. Beware before you use them.

Financing Program is Fine, Ease of Making Payments Not So Much
While the ease of initiating the transaction with the Seller and utilizing Bread as the payment option was easy and simple, the process of making the payments was horrible. Not having a simple website on which to make payments, having to bounce between the web access and a mobile phone was ridiculous and a pain. I have done many financing programs, including from/with Synchrony, Brand Source, Commenity Bank, Amazon (which is managed by Synchrony), Best Buy, etc. and all were far easier to work with on the payment side than Bread. In addition there was no way to pre-schedule payments other than chosing to do an auto-payment at the minimum payment amount, or at least I could not find a way to do this. I highly recommend those other programs before ever using Bread at this time. If that's is the only program the Merchant offers, find another Merchant or know what to expect.

horrible!
So i initially had no problem with Bread. Then I went on Social Security and took advantage of the change your payment due date option because my SS payments were the 3rd week of the month. Then the problem began. every month they double charged me, stating i was a month behind in payments. i sent them an email explaining I had changed my payment due date and was current with my [ayments. i got an email back from a cust service rep who did not understand anything i had said and insisted my account was past due. so I sent them a screen shot of my bank statement showing all my payments to them made on time since the beginning of the loan. That wasnt enough to prove to this rep my account was current. I send a notice from my ban detailing every payment again since the beginning of the loan. this was ignored and the rep continued to insis my account was past due. I finally gave up, blocked them from my email to stop their notices, stopped my auto ded payments. I now go on their site every month and make my payment. DO NOT BORROW FROM BREAD! oh and icing on the cake...my original cost was paid months ago. i am paying almost double to cost of the item i financed. and there is no early payback. you owe every piece of interest no matter when you pay them off.

I’m convinced that any good review for bread is imaginary. Clients never get approved so attempting to open credit with them is a huge waste of time. Zero support for merchants and call centers for all phone calls. I heard a chicken in the background during my last call with them. Truly a joke of a company.

Worthless. The first time I used the service it went great. Two other times they have requested an upload of my Driver's License via an email link and the link never works and then you get denied and they say the decision is final. Go with Affirm instead!!!

Started off great but then when I paid off items they reported it to my credit report. That then made it look like I had opened 3 accounts in the past year on top of the accounts I had actually opened with credit.

Bought a scooter that didn’t work out
Bought a scooter that didn’t work out. MFG did the right thing and issued a refund. I was originally told that the refund would appear back in my account within 14 days well it is now been 22 days and no such refund has appeared, and further they just told me that I’ll wait 7 to 10 days more before I see it. They dropped the ball they did not process my refund properly in the first week of April… And here we go. What I thought was a great financial option is turned into an absolute disaster.
