They like to screw you with the payment on the deadline date. I called them the final day the payment was due but the representative told me because I call that day and not the day before I was penalized. Penalty feed had already been applied.

The mattress we purchased is not as they promised. As large people,we need a mattress for heavy weight. I was willing to pay for the expensive product as it was " geared for heavy weight" As a fat person, I need comfort and strength but mattress got big dip on my husband side and when I called for help I received a paper with measurements on it and told to measure. The answer I got was rotate the mattress. Hard to rotate california king so now I sleep in the hole while my husband makes a new one!

Furniture Finance Nightmare!
In May 2020, I purchased over 10,000 in custom built furniture from an online company called Log Furniture place. The furniture was slated to take 4 weeks to build from the order date. In June, I was contacted by Bread to begin making payments on the loan. I immediately called and expressed concern because I was not comfortable paying for something I had not yet even seen or received. I was promised that if the item came and it was anything less than I expected, Bread would help me dispute thee charge and I could get all of my monies paid back with no issues. I paid the loan ontime from June through October. In that time, I made Bread aware that I had not yet received the product and that the company had started giving me the run around. Bread advised me to keep paying to prevent my credit from being impacted. It was then that I learned that the furniture company was paid in full by Bread when I made the order so there was little incentive for them to really even ship my order. I received my furniture finally on Oct. 7. It came in all wrong. The set was all different colors. I took pictures and immediately sent it all to Bread for help with a dispute as they promised because when I called the company, they refused to take the items back to make it right. Bread never told me that I only had 120 days to file this dispute and that the 120 day timer started the day I started paying on the loan NOT from the day I received the product. Bread did nothing to help. Instead, what they did was call me every single month and make me tell the exact same story above. They refused to move the due date of the loan to at the very least make it easy for me to pay and they literally called and texted me starting 1 week before the loan was due until I paid it each month. They did not care that I had to hire a lawyer and they did nothing to help me fight the company. All they cared about was getting their money. Every single representative was sympathetic to my situation but none did a thing to help! I would rather not have an item than ever finance ANYTHING with Bread again! I would think in the middle of a pandemic, a the very least they would have extended their 120 day window since many of us were not able to get items purchased in a timely manner as a result of covid. All bread cares about is their bottom dollar. They care none for the interest of their customers and sadly, they lost me as a customer-they have nothing I need and its not worth the headache to even deal with them!

My first experience with Bread was…
My first experience with Bread was super. Second? Not so much. I decided to use them for a second time, for CPAP supplies. All went well, until it came time for check out. Bread will no longer accept a PO Box for the billing address to your credit card. Not sure when this happened, or why, but it is a huge inconvenience. Not everyone has his or her mail sent to their home. Needless to say, I purchased my supplies elsewhere, and advised the company that I normally use, to discontinue their relationship with Bread.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have never received the $2500 couch I purchased. This finance company is trying to collect $1500. Gave them emails from the merchant saying a refund would be issued, never was. My conclusion is that this company works with both reputable and disreputable companies, and will stand with disreputable to collect their money.

They don't care about your loan being paid off early
The options that they give you for paying off the loan is a great feature. The downfall is that if you choose to pay off the loan amount early you do not get discounted from the interest. I chose a 2 year loan for $1400.00 and I actually paid it off in less than one year but I still got charged for the 2 year interest.

I think your company sucks
I think your company is horrible, I deferred one payment 3 months before paying my balance and you harassed me everyday afterward. I didn’t understand how you allow a deferral and then proceeded to make someone feel like there trying to rip you off. I honestly will never use your services again. I see why Club 14 has switched finance companies. You guys are garbage

First, somehow in the Noemie Jewelry website, when I gave them info, they must have checked my credit rating because they said I was approved for $2700.00. the item I wanted was $750.00. So I went through the process of checking out with the item in Noemie, chose pay over time, then I got a message saying "Bread" needs more info and to call them...during their very limited hours. Was bumped from one CS rep to the next, kept on hold for long periods, I have to answer all these questions like a test, THEN they tell me that they want an actual copy of my drivers license...not just the DL number, which puts one at risk of identity theft, but the ACTUAL drivers license with my photo and all. Got too suspicious at that point, also fed up with the hoops they were making me jump through, hung up. Too bad, the ring from Noemie was nice but not for such hassle. Go to the Better Business Bureau's complaints about "Bread" if you want to see some of the problems others have had with them.

Horrible ancient outdated communist like communication
Website is horrible...the only communication from them is the monthly reminder they want to be paid....they will turn down and decline an existing customer that was never late on any of the previous or existing payments like they don't even know you...i will and have gone elsewhere for better loans, better rates, and a hell of a lot of better service....i do not regret to inform bread I am declining them for reasons within my policy.

Signed up with my HSA account only to find “Bread” doesn’t accept HSA. Apparently that money isn’t green enough. Really ridiculous to finance medical equipment and not accept HSA money. So now I have to pay out of pocket for 36 months and send paperwork to be reimbursed out of my HSA account. Would never do business with Bread again it’s been a nightmare.

Waste of my time....
I went to a site to buy an air purifier and noticed Bread offering very low payments so I applied and was approved for $5000.00. Then I was asked to upload ID for verification which I did. Next I was asked to phone to verify which I did. However I spoke with a male who I think...wanted to ask me some identifying questions but then may have changed his mind and disconnected. This entire process took 4 days and still no reply from any emails I sent. I gave up and used Paypal instead of wasting more of my time with a scam company that now has my personal information.

I used the loan service to purchase a product. The first time they gave me zero interest for the first 6 months. Since that purchase they went to a high interest rate on other purchases yet I have always paid on time, more than minimum, and early. So this loan service was only friendly once. After that time they became a loan shark.

Terrible experience with Bread and…
Terrible experience with Bread and SplitPay. I wanted to make an early payment, or pay off my loan early and that was against their policy so they wouldn't allow it. I wanted to reschedule an automatic payment, they wouldn't allow it. My automatic payment failed, can't make a manual payment. Contacted Bread, was referred to the loan agreement. Any of their competitors allow rescheduling or early payment. Bread hides behind their lack of an App which means you have to seek out reviews unlike their competitors which offer a review before you even download the app from the app store. Easily the worst financial brand.

Paid Over $200 For A Grill We Never Received
I ordered a Weber Grill from BBQ Guys for my boyfriend back during the Summer as a surprise when his unexpectedly broke one night. Having it be last minute, I didn't have the full amount of funds currently in my account to cover the entire cost of the grill ($1,200) so, I opted for the payment plan option through Bread. I've used other similar companies in the past such as Afterpay or Sezzle and never had an issue with shipping or what card I used so I didn't even think twice about using this method. Once the BBQ Guys website led me over to Bread's, I started to input my card information and this is where the problems began. I had recently sold my house on the other side of the state (3 weeks prior to this order) and as such, hadn't switched my card address information to another house but rather a PO Box in the same town since I wasn't sure what new location I wanted to list as my "permanent address". I entered in my PO Box #, city, state, and zip into the billing address section and hit "Submit" only to receive an error that my info was incorrect. Now, please keep in mind that at this time I got onto my Wells Fargo account to see exactly where my billing address was located - it was 100% the PO Box. Confused, I hopped back over to Bread to see if I had a typo, but I did not. That is when I noticed the statement reading that they couldn't accept a PO Box but would rather need a physical address. Now frustrated, I decided that it would logically be asking for a physical address with the same zip code - the house I had sold 3 weeks prior. So this is the information that I put in, hit "Submit", and voila! My payment had gone through and my account had been set up! Obviously very excited at this point, I checked my email to review the confirmation. Everything looked good - BBQ Guys had my delivery address and Bread had my payment information. 2 days later I receive an email from BBQ Guys stating that the grill had left the warehouse and was in transit to... the house across the state, 5 hours away where I had no idea how to contact the current owners of the house nor a way to get there to load up a couple hundred pound grill and tote it back over the mountain. In a panic, I called BBQ Guys immediately to let them know of the error only for them to tell me "I'm sorry ma'am, this was done through Bread and they make us ship to the billing address. If Bread will confirm a Change of Address in their system then we can get the grill rerouted to the correct location." SWEET! So I call Bread and end up speaking with someone who didn't quite have the level of communication that I was needing. I was told "I'm sorry miss, this is policy. BBQ Guys needs to cancel the order and then we can refund you and reorder once the grill is back in the factory." ...are you kidding me...? So, once I again, I call back BBQ Guys and tell them what I was just told. Their response? "Okay, yeah let's go ahead and get that cancelled for you. It looks like you'll just have to pay the shipping fee for cancellation - $213.42." (Don't worry BBQ Guys got a crap review as well). Fuming, I tell them that they can cancel the order but I don't understand why I have to pay for 20% of a grill I'm never going to get to use AND THEN REBUY ANOTHER ONE AT FULL PRICE???? Well, let's just say they didn't have a sufficient answer so I told them to cancel it and I hung up. I called Bread right after that, told them what was going on, and once again was told "I'm sorry miss, it's policy. Your loan will continue for the same amount of time but your monthly payments will be lowered. Once you pay this loan off you will be eligible to repurchase." Long story short - I ended up paying $250.78 (Bread had to make their money too ya know, since they really worked hard at helping me resolve my issue) for a grill I never received and a simple answer of "It's policy, miss." Your policy should be customer service. Try again.

Total joke of a company.
Total joke of a company. Poor communication, website does not work, and they do not tell you that you cannot update your payment method online despite having a place to do it and being directed by their agents to do so. My account was 4 months past due because they cannot get their site and agents working on the same page. Finally got a competent agent who updated my payment manually... then they required all past payments due at once. TOTAL SCAM!

They took out 2 payment plans for 1 purchase. So currently I'm being charged double for the purchase I made. And no one can confirm that I only made one purchase.... Be VERY careful even if it says you are denied the payment plan.
