They won't let you make a past due…
They won't let you make a past due payment on line. They make you wait till a certain time/date that they make, then process the auto payment. You can not do it manually.

They sell your info after asking for an image of your Driver's license
After dealing with their system issues for 2hr, and having to call them and Wayfair they said ok we fixed it! Then i get shown im approved and for how much. I pick a payment plan and then they ask for an image of my driver's license. I give it thinking this is normal and guess what??? They then say you're denied at this time and after several hits to my credit report, which they say ohhh no we don't do hard hits (that's a lie)!! AFTER I GIVE MY SS# They then within ohhh i don't know 30 minutes or so, sell all my info and then i start getting text messages about me receiving money from Citizens Bank, andf stating to click this link if it's not you!!! I'm getting click bate for scammers now!!!!! I have recieved about 9 emails from random scammers. Not even ads people!!! Scammers!! ... seriously. Not a legit company i feel. I asked why they did it this way, and she stated some people need to show their ID because they seem like something is not right with their info!!! I delt with your system acting up, you didn't recognize my phone carrier, and i had to call multiple times to 2 different companies customer service numbers to get this far, AND MY info seems off?? You get my SS#, an image of my DRIVER'S LICENSE, my email, phone number, house number, CELL PHONE# and then Denie me? I have established credit with other places, my credit is not that bad! But i seem off? I'm not sure what happened here but please be careful with whom you intrust your info with. Because the emails and texts are scammers....ohhh and not to mention the phone call trying to tell me my SS# IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE!!! SERIOUSLY???? BREADPAY we are disappointed in you. Sorry to rant but be careful. The problem is that most people comment asap they get their credit maybe rosy before their 2 payment, so it's not a legit comment if what they sent through. We need more people to actually comment and not just say forget it! Without these we won't know how these companies actually work.

WORST BANK EVER !!!!
I had the worst bank experience ever with Bread Financial. I wanted to open a CD, since they have good CD rates. I decided to open a savings account first with them, and afterwards open a CD to a transfer the money from the savings account. It took me more than 1 month to open a savings account with them, I did it initially online, when I didn’t hear anything after about a week I called them and they said that I needed to wait for a letter in the mail, after another week still nothing, I called again (every time you call the automated answering machine says 10 minutes wait even if the wait was always between 30 and 60 minutes), when I finally got them on the phone they told me that I have to send them in the mail some additional papers, copy of ID, copy of SS card etch. I did that, after many more phone calls I finally succeeded in opening a savings account, this was after 32-33 days. Then I wanted to open a CD online, and I kept having problem with it, it kept saying that I was denied???, I called them again and they told me that there system was down and I should try in a few days again. I kept trying and I kept being denied, I called them again, and every time they said that they couldn’t tell me why I was denied, but only tell me that it wasn’t because of my credit, I knew that since my credit score is above 800. I am in my mid 50’s and have had many CD’s before with different banks without any problems at all. Since I wanted to open a CD, and I couldn’t do that I wanted my money back, I called them again, and they told me that I would see my funds within 5 biz days, it ended up taking another month and call them 5-7 times again. It was obviously to me that they were holding on to my money to make interest of it, and pay me a much lower interest. I want to warn everyone against this bank which have very suspect and deceiving banking operations.

Started out well and as one would expect. Payments mailed by me and processed by Bread in a timely manner. However, a year in I started receiving “payment due today” emails when payment was sent and received (according to my bank) by Bread a week earlier. Payments weren’t posted and eventually I had enough and paid off my balance in full 10 months early so as to not have to deal with the incompetencies on a monthly basis.

We called bread a few times this past month To make payments and pay a loan off in full Shocked as h*ll today to get a email stating one wasn't paid on December 24th 2021 We called was turned over to collections dept Fun fun lady said our phone number wouldn't pull anything up mine or my husband Very rude got a supervisor on the line was told the payment due was for January 24th 2022 Keep in mind today is Jan 24th So how was it late ? The payments on this loan was $36.66 But sometimes paid over and paid $40. I would like a copy of all the payments we made on this loan Plus a couple days ago we got a email saying we had another loan with bread We called up told them we didn't buy anything else was told yes we did Then she looked into it more saw it was for 0 dollars. It was a double loan I can say this past month I am more then unhappy with bread Sherry

Not happy
We were not happy with this company at all. Impossible to get through to talk to someone. Sent payment in full and they never posted the payment. We had to issue a stop payment which cost us $27 and then pay by phone which took forever.

Unreasonable high interest rate while not reporting the payments and the payoff to the 3 major credit agencies!
1). My commitment paying the loan on time and paying it completely off and on time where not reported to the major 3 credit agencies! Bread financing most definitely checked my credit worthiness, at least through soft hit, therefore I was granted the loan amount to finance my higher end Winkbed mattress… Therefore why I’m not being given a credit accordingly?? 2). The interest rate unreasonable and it is way too high!

One huge headache.
For some reason BREAD claimed they couldn't deduct my payment from my checking account. It works find with PayPal and others. I fought with them for months about this. I do not have a debit card. I talked to them on the phone and sent emails, both many times telling them if they would send me a bill in the mail I would be glad to send my payment. I was told just as many times (-1) that they are an online only company and did not send bills in the mail, ever. Then I talked to one person (the -1 from above) that must have been higher up in the company and he told me they do indeed sent paper bills out and he'd be sending me one. Just a couple of days later I received it. I sent in a check for the entire purchase price but not for the interest. The next month they are on me again about my checking account... I finally sent them an email and told them that if they do as they did the last time I sent them a payment I would be happy to pay the account off. I then get an email in reply stating that my account was paid in full. I'll never use them again and advise others not to either.
