We experienced trip interruptions and additional expenses on a recent trip to Germany. Travelex online claim filing was very user friendly. We received all of our costs incurred and our missed flight cost. Extremely satisfied and will use Travelex again.

Because of COVID related cancellations…
Because of COVID related cancellations and illness, I had to make several claims. Although there was a delay each time, I realized that it resulted from what was likely an avalanche of claims. I was ultimately reimbursed according to the policy guidelines and was fully satisfied with my experience.

Very difficult to talk with the person…
Very difficult to talk with the person performing the review. Not pleasant. Took to much time to get refund. We could not have made it easier by sending a spreadsheet with all the expenses. Will look for another insurer in the future if I have a choice.

Extremely long wait with no communication.
An extremely long time for the claim to be reviewed. No one communicated with me, I needed to reach out several times to find out the status. Once the claim was completed, not everything was covered like they claimed it would be. I needed to re-submit the claim again and now I'm waiting again and this is mid August. The accident occured in April.

The policy coverages were confusing and…
The policy coverages were confusing and contradictory where COVID was involved When I queried Travelex in advance of my trip the response provided no clarification I contracted COVID on my trip to Paris and had to quarantine for 6 nights . I asked for 6 nights reimbursement under travel interruption coverages but only received a 2 night refund at 250 a night which was far under the actual hotel rate . I would have been fine with 250 a night for 6 nights as a fair settlement buy Travelex has stone walled me . I will never engage your services again ; as an Inspirato member I travel frequently and it will be Travelex’s revenue loss .

Lost money on my insurance
The payment on my insurance claim was three hundred dollars less than what I paid for the insurance. The paperwork to submit my claim was excessive and redundant. The entire insurance claim process made my need to file even more unpleasant and frustrating. I am not a satisfied customer.

This is in reference to claim #02483027
This is in reference to claim #02483027, despite providing extensive documentation about being diagnosed with COVID-19 while on vacation this past May and understanding that I was covered under the policy I purchased for any "COVID related medical issues" that arose during my trip, I was only reimbursed $100 for the actual delay of my trip when I was delayed 10 entire days for having COVID. Its very hard for me to believe in any sort of good faith that Travelex/Berkshire Hathaway is legitimately providing compensation in any sort of legitimate way. I would love to have my case re-reviewed.
