Trip interruption
We had to cut our vacation short by five days, and we applied for a refund for that portion of the vacation. We were contacted immediately and helped get the process started. The agent kept me informed on what we needed to do and was very helpful. We received our refund today.

They try hard to refuse you your money
Although they finally settled the claim they made us go through many phone calls and emails to settle. They first denied the claim. after many phone calls.After filing a dispute there were more emails. Finally I talked to someone who told me the claim was denied because the physician form was signed by a PA not a doctor. They could have told me that 3 months before. It was a lot of unnecessary work to get back my money for a valid reason.

In order to adjudicate a claim, whether to approve or deny, our examiners require complete documentation supporting such claim. A valid Attending Physician Statement was necessary in this instance. In terms of the initial denial, the reasoning for your cancellation was not a covered reason within our policy. Once appealed we were able to speak with your attending physician and clarify the details of the case which allowed us to properly adjudicate your claim and provide payment. Insuring a skiing season pass (A+)!
When I turned 64, a friend of mine had a skiing accident and could no longer ski. She was very happy with Redsky’s reimbursement of her IKON skiing pass. From then on, I always bought Redsky’s Ikon ski insurance. This past April, I had a medical emergency, and was advised by my doctors to not do any physical exertions until my situation was resolved. Redsky stepped in and returned the full amount I had ‘invested’ on my 21/22 ski pass. I will definitely continue to insure my travel plans with Redsky.

Red Sky came through with a full…
Red Sky came through with a full reimbursement for our canceled family celebration due to COVID. The reimbursement took about a month which was fine. But it would have been nice if we could have had some kind of personal contact. All contact was instructed to be online in a claim form. I reached out and spoke to different customer service reps, however, it would have been nice to have had a specific assigned rep to talk over our claim with and discuss the complications we were going through.

DO NOT EVER PURCHASE THIS TRAVEL…
DO NOT EVER PURCHASE THIS TRAVEL INSURANCE!! It took 7 months for RedSky to decide to deny my claim because of a “pre-existing condition.” Who would book a vacation they knew they couldn’t go on because they had to care for their mother round the clock after her surgery? And what took so long? Back and forth with the doctors office and leaving me out of the loop. Worst experience with travel insurance ever. I’d give zero stars if I could.

Delayed Claims Payment - for 60 days.
The claims process was slow. After providing completed paperwork, and assured as such, additional documents were then requested on two occasions. The requests for additional documents “reset” the claims payment process, delaying the payment of my claim for two months. I gave 2 stars because my claim was paid, but I did have to call numerous times and follow-up.

Hard to deal with at times.
Update. After leaving a bad review they refunded. We didn’t know because no one contacted us. We changed from a 1 star to a 3 star because we shouldn’t have had to go through 2 people and a bad review to get results. Thank you though for the refund. It did clear the character of your company to us.

Unexpected Cancellation
Trip was cancelled due to an unexpected illness. I was advised to contact Redsky for questions/help & without any problems they were quite helpful. Bertram with Redsky was one of the nicest people I’ve ever dealt with & answered all my questions with patience & concern. I felt at ease speaking with him & the times when I called he advised that my calling was no problem & made sure we solved my concerns. I was so upset that we had to cancel the trip, my claim was resolved & I’m very thankful I had someone as nice as Bertram & I really thank him for all his help.

I felt the questions on the form the…
I felt the questions on the form the doctor had to fill out in order to get my refund, was unnecessarily detailed and and invasion of privacy. It bordered on the Dr having to break HIPAA privacy laws with all the information that was asked for. Other than that, once it was filled out and sent in, the process went smoothly, and I got the refund of my IKON left ticket pass.

Took 4 months for them to resolve my…
Took 4 months for them to resolve my case I sent them everything that they had asked for and kept asking for more and more and was almost the same thing, I finally got my money back but I feel that they asked for too much I feel that’s why we purchase insurance because things happen and they made it even more stressful for us.

Asking for my bank account statement to…
Asking for my bank account statement to prove I paid for my insurance when I sent you a document which clearly stated I personally paid for the insurance through the villa rental company was totally unnecessary. It was almost as if you purposely made me jump through hoops so I would give up and not collect. My bank statement did not show the exact dollar amount of the travel insurance as it was paid for in total with the rental of the villa in St Barths. The bank statement provided you with nothing!!!! EVEN THE VILLA RENTAL COMPANY COULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR NONSENSE RULES. I finally got the check sometime last week. My trip took place the 1st week of December.

Typical insurance company BS
Well I had to give one star to start but I would have given no stars. Knee surgery last year cancelled my season but I had to send endless docs and forms for months to get a refund. Your competitor representing Epic approved and refunded within 2 weeks.

Wasn’t able to make our trip due to our Mom getting really sick and hospitalized, we worked with Rdd Sky on getting the correct forms filled out properly and the were great. We received our refund in a timely manner.

Red Sky was great to work with
Red Sky was great to work with. I had to file a claim because weather interrupted our trip. Red Sky app was easy to use to submit your documents and they sent periodic updates on the status of your claim. I talked to one of the representatives and they were very polite and courteous. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Slow Process
Red Sky specialist were excellent to communicate with: they described the process, assisted in defining the documents required, and insured I provided the correct information. Once all documents were provided and sent to management for review and approval it took 10 weeks to obtain approval and the insurance payment. An extremely slow process for a claim with all the correct documentation provided.
