Opening and closing this frame is very…
Opening and closing this frame is very difficult. Installers took less than 30 seconds to show me and since I had other business, I accepted the quick display. Is there a manual I could download?

Kids didn’t have too much talent on screws. They also missed some of them and the ones they didn’t miss they dod not tide up. They left them loose. But hei, they are learning. No big deal. Where is the supervisor???

Futon is not working properly with an upgraded mattress
I purchased Full Size Java Futon and upgraded the mattress it comes with to a better (thicker) Moonlight by Gold Bold mattress. Both are great products on it's own, but not together. Mattress is to thick and I can's fold the futon on my own. I feel like it should not been an option of upgrading the mattress if it's not functioning with the futon properly. Also the assembly of the futon is not easy, and you would need a second person to finish the process. Otherwise good experience with the customer service and delivery.

Dear Tanya, we are sorry to hear about your experience. The Moonlight mattress is indeed on a heavier side, but that makes it a better option for everyday use and adds to its longevity. It should slightly break in the middle though, so it will get easier to open and close the futon over time.

nice product but unreasonable return policy
Product (futon cover) seemed well-made and shipping was fast, but when the cover arrived it didn't match color on ad they responded that their policy was exhange-only and it involved cost of shipping plus 20% restocking fee. Seemed a bit excessive.

I pondered about this review for a long time, because my experience with Futonland was mixed. The purchase experience was excellent. The sales agent answered many questions and was very helpful. After my purchase, he even called me back to inform me that the delivery would be sooner and less expensive because their team was already coming to my area. Delivery, however, was not so great. They did come on time; however, they damaged walls going up the stairs in the room where the futon was assembled. I moved in a few weeks earlier, and the movers brought in several pieces of furniture that were at least as big and heavy as the futon without causing any damage. I had paid for "white glove" delivery, and wish I had left it to my sons instead. The futon that was delivered was not the color that was advertised. I could not see it until they had already brought it upstairs and unboxed it. At that time I commented about it, and the driver dismissed my concern saying it is what was ordered. I did not want to have them take it away at that point so I accepted delivery. When I called customer support about my delivery issues, I was treated politely, but was met with some suspicion. I sent pictures of the walls and the futon and was told that I could not prove that Futonland did the damage; nor that the color was not right - perhaps it was just the lighting in the room. They claimed that the right futon was sent and that the color was correct. If that is so, then the pictures of the Zigana grey futon were not true to color. The representative did mention that the manufacturer sometimes makes changes without notifying them. I notice that some of the pictures that are on line now for that product are different from those I saw. At the end of the day they offered me a $50 discount on future purchases which I declined, as I am not interested in doing business with them again. The futon itself is very nice - I would give it 5 stars other than the color issue. It is very practical and works well. I am a 'little old lady' and have no problem opening and closing it; and full size sheets fit it perfectly. As a sofa it is a bit firm, but I like it. As a bed it is better than any futon or sofa bed I have ever used. There is no feeling of rails or slats beneath you. If you like a softer bed, a mattress topper could be used; but I do not personally think it needs one. The storage area is very practical and holds sheets, blankets and pillows easily.

wish the Futon opened and closed easier
Sales and delivery were fine.for the set up, they had a really hard time putting the futon together and took it apart and redid it 2 or 3 times. The futon does not open and close as easily as it did in the showroom. I want to mention that all Futonland employees were very courteous.

Someone put the wrong futon cover in the box that you sent. We were disappointed that we did not get what we had ordered, but we decided to use it anyway and not complain.

Hi Joseph, according to our records it looks like we've tried to call you and sent you an email asking to confirm the scheduled time frame but didn't hear back from you before the truck was already on the route, so we had to reschedule. We do this because most items we sell are big and heavy and we have to make sure someone is available to accept the delivery during the set timeframe. We apologize for this inconvenience.

I paid to have it set up they wouldn’t…
I paid to have it set up they wouldn’t set it up one of the legs won’t go into the bag hole because it needs to be rethreaded. I complained after the fact and they have done nothing do you fix this problem.

Disappointed
I wasn’t satisfied because a part on the futon came off after a week .I couldn’t use it because he didn’t do it correctly. They told me to use the Allen rench to tighten it and put it back in. But if I didn’t want to fix it they would come but they would charge me a service fee. My last futon came from futon world and had it for 13 years with not one problem.

It wasn’t clear to me that the couch…
It wasn’t clear to me that the couch would be coming in pieces. This was a new experience for me since I buy couches with the legs on. Telephone representative should be more clear with this detail instead of extra money for delivery.

Dear Jess, thank you for your feedback. Most furniture is shipped unassembled. Sofa beds usually only require arms and legs to be screwed on. We offer this service, but our basic delivery options don't include setup.

Terrible delivery experience
Cons: Shipping costs and descriptions in the website do not match what the delivery company quotes at the time of delivery. When I called the customer services to clarify the issue the person on the line was not helpful at all. Also note that unlike what it says in the shipping instructions the delivery company has 0 flexibility on the delivery date and time frame they give you. Pros: Item arrived on time and was not damaged.

I have been unable to assemble the futon frame correctly because I cannot get the seat deck and back deck to fit together as they need to do. I have left a message for Strata Furniture. I think I may have been sent the wrong size slats for the seat and back decks, but I’m not sure it is the slats or the pieces they fit into that are the wrong size.

I like the basic functionality of the…
I like the basic functionality of the sofa bed I got, but the process of setting up delivery was frustrating. I followed directions of shipper to setup delivery by email and they basically didn't follow my directions to contact me (instead of my wife) and they delivered outside the window I was told they would.

Not at all happy with the delivery…
Not at all happy with the delivery service, AM Home Delivery. They promised a window between 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. They arrived at 6:07 pm and did a quick drop-off when they were supposed to deliver the product to the room I wanted. I had to struggle with my son to carry the sofa into the house. Delivery service was horrible. Futonland's customer service was much better, as they called to confirm my purchase a few minutes after I placed my order. The product looks good; however, it is simply not comfortable at all as a bed and a mattress topper is a definite must.

Something broke at the transport
Something broke at the transport, which is normally fine but they didn't call me even though they said that they will. It took me one week to finally reach them. Besides that everything worked well. Very nice and polite employees.

Customer service was great but after I ordered paid for the futon, I found it for $200 less on walmart site. Then I felt I was ripped off. I received the futon and I like it but I think it was only worth $200 not $400+. So make sure if you order from this site look elsewhere because you may find it cheaper.

Up-sell email / call annoying
I received an email from Futonland that my order would be canceled if I didn't call to confirm shipping instructions. When I called I found the sole purpose of the call was to try to up-sell me on a more expensive mattress and accessories. I find this to be an incredibly annoying and unethical practice. I ordered what I wanted and paid for it, yet they had to go and deceive me with a bogus "shipping confirm" request. One reason I ordered this via internet was the convenience and this totally wasted my time and ruined the purchase experience. Totally disappointed, only reason I didn't score it lower was because I at least got what was ordered after having to fend off the hard sell sales pitch.
