Customer service is unmatched
Customer service is unmatched Everyone at Alchemy is exceptionally friendly and helpful to the Nth degree. There have been numerous instances where they were willing to work with me in ways you'd never get from a "big-name" like Specialized.

Absolutely love the bikes!
Absolutely love the bikes! Ended up getting Arktos 135, 150, then the 120. Loved everything about the feel of the 135 for trail riding in rooty, rocky stuff here in New England. Then my wife (God bless her) gave me go ahead to get the 150 to replace cracked frame on my RM Slayer. Then the spring sale had the 120 for too good of a deal to pass up. All 3 bikes feel very composed for what they are meant to do, and feel like an extension of myself. No regrets, love them all. Value and customer service also were top notch.

Wow - the new gen Arktos is a dream to ride…
Just upgraded my old first generation Arktos to the newest Arktos. I loved my old Arktos, but WOW - the new generation Arktos is a dream to ride! From climbing to descending to handling - everything is improved and has me grinning from ear to ear. Couldn't be happier with the level of care and expertise the Alchemy team gave to help find the perfect fit, setup and travel for me. Love my Alchemy bikes!

Arktos Has Many Design Flaws
I feel bad leaving this bad of a review because I do think this is a decent bike company. However, changing bearings and linkage every year on the Arktos should not be a thing. We spent way to much money for parts to fail so quick. The real review is from the bike shop who couldn’t believe this bike was so difficult to service and that the wear was so bad for the linkage and bearings. I never had this issue on my last three Santa Cruz bikes.

Great riding bikes with amazing…
Great riding bikes with amazing components. Lots of people talk about these bikes as being excellent value for the spec you get. That is true. But they are also amazing bikes to ride, the rear suspension is athletic and plush at the same time. Every other bike I have ridden has been one or the other. The arktos is a great peddler, soaks up the small bumps, AND takes the big hits. Love these bikes.

Would have been 5 star if chain stay…
Would have been 5 star if chain stay etc had allowed for wider tires, at least 2.6. My favorite tire is Maxxis Recon 2.8

2020/2021 Arktos 150
I originally purchased a 2020 Arktos - it had a great performance to value spec, but slightly antiquated geometry. I was so happy with the overall ride and their strong decision to overhaul the geometry the following year, essentially keeping the the great spec, I purchased another. My second order was placed as the pandemic was starting to have its affect on supply chains, pricing, etc, and When i placed my order the on-line system froze - when the system came back to life the bike was priced approx. $500 higher than ordered! I called Alchemy support, explained what happened and they gave me the original price without hesitation! I have also reached out on a couple of occasions with random tech questions and they have not hesitated to offer general and insider knowledge that helped me troubleshoot and optimize my ride. The suspension system system offers the best of all worlds - enduro, to trail, to bombing - no apparent shortcomings for me - and as a 6'4"/225lb rider I can't appreciate it more! If it comes time for a new set of wheels, or if I can find the space, Alchemy will definitely be my first look. I am excited to see the directions they take in the years to come!

The communication and attention to detail.
The communication and attention to detail from Alchemy is amazing! I own a high end bike shop in Madison, WI and I also own a fast, fun and slick Titanium CX/Gravel Alchemy bike. It's super fun and snappy! We've sold many road bike from all carbon to titanium. The last few bikes were both gravel. One carbon and one Titanium. :-) Keep up the awesome work!!

Arktos turns any tough trail into Disneyland
I bought an Alchemy bike 3 summers ago and absolutely love the Arktos. Turns Hard Money and Scraggy into Disneyland for adults. The factory set up is amazing and I'll never have to upgrade anything. I'd highly recommend Alchemy as they make incredible bikes that anyone would love.

Alchemy Arktos Could be 90%. But not so far.
I really feel it’s important to be completely transparent and honest about the Arktos MTB. Originally I gave 4 stars but after riding the bike since March I’ve got real concerns. Being brand new it was a great upgrade from a bike half the cost. I’ve put roughly 1500mi on my bike. There’s some issues now apparent which weren’t before. Upon picking my bike up at the shop the headset was a serious concern. It was so overtightened I felt maybe damage was done. Now I must continue to readjust it so there’s smooth turning and no play in the bearings. It seems I’ll need to take it back and ask for a replacement. I wonder how that’s going to be received by staff. This leads to the brakes which just provide questionable stopping. Idk of other builds in 6500k bikes with 180mm rotors. Minimum should be 200mm. I’ve almost gone over the handlebars several times due to the front brake play combined with headset shaking. This is DANGEROUS and needs correction. I just haven’t gotten to where I want to argue the esoterics of that issue. Next is seatpost dropper. It’s begun to be sticky; sometimes not rebounding nor smooth lowering. I should mention that my Orbea at half the price and being 2 years older still has excellent dropper movement and very smooth braking. I’ve already mentioned the seat itself might as well just be a credit to the price and the shop offer a decent seat for $30 extra. It’s a throwaway as other people have mentioned. Otherwise I should mention the XT Grupo is quite nice and the rest of the bike is nice. Only issue is the cover where the cranks join the frame doesn’t fit right. It lets dirt into that hole. Another seemingly minor issue I’ll probably need to argue with the shop about. I certainly hope everything goes well with the shop but we’ll see when riding isn’t possible anymore. I still think some decent pedals should at least be offered to buyers at discounted prices. It’s very minor by cost- decent flats for $40. Otherwise you get a bike which isn’t rideable out of the shop. Alchemy should be a leader in small issues like this instead of a follower. Just to be fair the Deathgrips ARE AMAZING and shows what a few bucks can do to make the bike. Other minor issues that show the company getting closer to being a industry leader are bottle cage, high pressure pump for shocks and mud flap included. Seems if Alchemy put around $80 plus a little extra effort in adjustment there’d be much greater sales volume. I’ll update in November when I ask for a headset and dropper work. Industry Nine wheels with innovative hubs that accept straight double gauge spokes have ensured trued and round rolling performance. No adjustments needed so far. Nice!

The buying experience was great
The buying experience was great. I was out in Golden and stopped in to just review the bikes. The bike was priced right and was very happy with the component layout. The salespeople were knowledgeable, friendly and answered all questions. I love the way the bike rides and it’s secondary suspension support. The only thing I will say bad about the frame is it creaks a fair amount. I haven’t called to see if there is a way to alleviate the issue. I plan to mullet the bike to see how much more fun it can be.
