Budget price Kitchen but nicely designed and built.
I found JD Furniture when I was looking for a new kitchen to replace the aging MFI 1980's units that we had inherited with our new home. The trouble was we needed almost a complete kitchen and our money was very tight. Enter JD Furniture, whom I found via a google search. They sell direct, and are also listed on ebay and Amazon. The unit design is clean and modern, but the price is considerably cheaper than some of the competition. Any concern about quality was swiftly laid to rest when we started to unpack and assemble the units. They aren't high-end, but they are pretty decent and well made. The furniture does come flat-packed so you will have to assemble it, but this is pretty easy. We encountered only one minor snag with the corner unit, where for some reason the holes for the dowel and screw had been juxtaposed on one component - Thankfully we spotted the error, and with the aid of a hand drill effected a small modification that allowed us to complete assembly. Unlike some units these don't come with adjustable height feet - instead they rest on a timber plinth. If you want to be able to alter the worktop height you would need to buy some legs separately, but for us it wasn't an issue - and indeed the plinth is far more stable than adjustable plastic legs would be. All in all it will have taken us just over three days to build our new kitchen. At the time of writing we are still waiting on delivery of three wall cupboards that were ordered as an addition, but the base units are in and have our chosen worktop installed. Overall the design is very pleasing, and I suspect the modern corner unit will greatly improve the ergonomics as well. The bottom line is that to be able to fit out a complete medium sized kitchen for less than £1000 in the current economic climate is pretty good going. At the price I can't fault the design or build quality. If you are looking for the gold plated Rolls-Royce kitchen then maybe this one isn't for you, but if like us you just want something reasonably sturdy that will look good this is well worth considering. PS Just in case anyone notices I share my initials with this company, let me clearly confirm I am not associated with them. (I live in Scotland and they are based in Birmingham.)

Great quality at decent prices
Great company to shop with. I purchased 2 door wardrobe in grey just to finish off our bedroom project. Great quality for the price you pay and quick delivery. Wardrobe was easy to assemble and I say 40-60min for experienced DIYer. Fabulous and would definitely use again in the future. Thanks guys.

Not impressed and few conned with an ex Argos unit that wasn’t stated on Ebay…
The parcel with the sink unit was missing all the screws etc needed to assemble the unit. I rang the company 7 times but got a standard message. I had a plumber booked the next day! When I looked at the outer box it said Home Argos and the instructions also said from Argos!! I am having to try and get some fittings locally so I don’t loose the plumber. Not impressed and won’t buy from Ebay again.

Sorry to hear about your experience with us. We do our best to provide replacement parts ASAP if there are any issues, but the next day is quite challenging as sometimes our warehouse needs some time to prepare parts. We are trading Argos items as a clearance store.

Paid for my desk and paid the £15 fee for delivery (already very expensive) to get an email the next day stating they want another £15 for delivery or they can refund! Very disappointed

Can’t give a 5 star as I did have a few issues trying to arrange delivery but item was packaged really well no damage but steep 15 delivery charge but at the end of the day they built the item for me and that’s no extra charge the lady was always keeping in contact and even delivered the item on the way home due to no driver available si went out her way for me. Doesn’t deserve one star! Reply to JD Furniture: You most certainly are not happy to assist with a return or missing parts. As proven by the phone call my husband made earlier and the response several people witnessed. The man was rude, accusatory and anything but helpful. My husband was accused of stealing the side to a cabinet that was “supposedly new” however he was also told you have CCTV footage showing you at JD furniture packing the same cabinet with all the parts present. Firstly, I didn’t know you were a part of habitat so needed to pack the new furniture on your site, I will have to contact them about this too (as it looks bad on them) and secondly I would like to see this footage showing clearly all the parts present and correct that you have accused my husband of stealing. Tell me when exactly was you happy to assist him with a return or replacement parts? was it when you were accusing him of stealing the missing part? Or when you told him he will not get a refund? Pretending to be nice over the internet isn’t going to win brownie points with the customers who have had to deal verbally with your accusations and blatant underhand dealings. And attempting to get real customers reviews taken down so you can keep up your facade, disgusts me even more! Hopefully now I’ve supplied trustpilot with evidence that we stupidly brought from you instead of a respectable business, they’ll keep this review up so others go to a more reputable business and don’t have the experience we have had with you! Original review, that I still firmly stand by: Sold us a cabinet with a full side missing. Phoned up to say it’s missing he called my husband a liar and said he won’t be giving us a refund as we apparently stole the side of a cabinet! He didn’t even offer to source the missing part. Just told us we were liars. I mean come on! Who on earth wants to steal the side of a cabinet? What good is one side of a cabinet? For real? Grow up! Don’t treat people by your own lowly standards. The majority of people are most certainly not the same as you! Please don’t go here and don’t give him your money. Go elsewhere, this company deserves to go out of business, with so many reputable companies struggling - it’s beggars belief this company is still trading. It appears looking at the reviews when the item you buy is undamaged and all in one piece, it’s good. But it also appears that if you have missing or damaged pieces you receive the most awful, non existent customer service possible. And have to deal with a very, rude man. Meaning trading standards and possibly small claims court. Why bother, when you can simply go elsewhere? I do feel sorry for any of your poor staff, fancy having to put up you all day!

White folding down table
Very quick service from purchase to delivery! Unfortunately one piece of table was missing but contacted JD Furniture by e-mail and got reply back that day, confirming will send missing part to us ASAP, which they did. Horrendous experience, avoid at all costs.
Horrendous experience. Never had such rude, passive aggressive customer service (if you can call it that) in all my life. Received damaged items, was told "that's how we sell them, nothing is new", despite their website clearly stating "new" under the description and clausing a defects notice too, but this wasn't defected, 3 items of furniture absolutely smashed to pieces. Also, how can you sell defected/damaged items and still list as new? Hmmm. Was told "You can return them, but if damaged, we won't refund the full amount or anything". This basically means, return them, you'll lose your money and items, including the £30 per item delivery charge... dont even... I know!!!! They blocked my number, refused to speak to me unless written in an email, where replies are once every 3-6 days if you're lucky. No one knew the correct procedure for refunds/returns. Just absolute bollacks. Even the two lads, roughly 18 in a dodgy ass van delivered the items, dropped one in front of me as neither could lift them... just couldn't write it. Declined me a refund now even if returned, so I've had no choice but to raise it to Trading Standards to investigate whether they can do this and luckily I paid via a Mastercard, so I've managed to dispute and receive a full refund via them with all the shocking emails and call recordings. Avoid this company... worst purchase experience in over 20 years. Can't believe how disgusting the guy spoke to me on the phone too, supposed to be the manager/owner... whatever he is, he's a joke and can't have a level conversation to save his life.
