I would tell you how great my bike is…
Edit: It is now three months after my initial order with no bike and no communication. I would tell you how great my bike is except it is now several weeks past the estimated build time and the company does not communicate with you unless you reach out and they just tell you another week or so. At one point it was listed as being tested for final production and then it was back to being not completed. Then the website was updated and that model bike was supposedly ready for immediate shipment with no lead time, but not my bike. I'd really to cancel my order at this point as I'm now seeing where people took several months to get delivery...which probably wouldn't be a problem except they don't communicate these delays with you. While I was initially super excited about this bike, I now feel kinda scammed out of a few thousand dollars.

Ordered a custom bike rack on June 21
Ordered a custom bike rack on June 21, 2023. It is now Aug. 23, I have no rack and get ZERO communication on what happened to my order or when I can expect it, meanwhile they've had my $$ for 2 mos. The communication is beyond poor. Sadly this leaves an awfully poor taste in one's mouth should any further assistance be needed for my E-bike.

The worst of the worst company needs to…
The worst of the worst company needs to be more responsible with its customers but at EBC no one cares if not ask Jaime. I order my bike full paid 8 weeks ago and today 9/1 call back and they added another 10 days for stock colors. Rad e-bikes I recommend.

Great quality e-bikes
I'm very pleased with the e-bike I purchased. I researched other e-bikes and the quality of the EBC bikes are impressive compared to others. The customer service is great as well. I would highly recommend this place.

Switched to BMX handlebars
I adapted a model E to match my needs. I’ve had 5 shoulder surgeries (3 on the left, 2 on the right) and always felt pain after a long ride. I switched from cruiser handlebars to BMX style. Now my arms are more forward and turns are easier. I’m 5’4” and I also switched to 24” tires. I previously have owned a model Y and model R. I wish they would of had a model E or R with BMX handlebars to try out instead of switching without a test ride.

Poor battery and their warranty claim is a SCAM
In my household, we had two e-bikes, one from Lectirc and one from Electric Bike Company ®️ . We bought these bikes the same time and now the battery died for the bike of the Electric Bike Company ®️. We were INFORMED by them that based on our warranty, our battery should be covered as long as the problem is not caused by the customers. We (paid to) mail this battery to them. Today, they told us they detected bad cells in the battery and they would give us a new one. However, we NEED TO PAY the $90 diagnostic fee and $20 for them to ship the battery to us. I am ok with the $20 shipping fee but the $90 diagnostic fee is totally bullsh*t. If it is within the warranty and obviously based on their judgement the warranty covered our battery problems (bad cells), why should we spend $90 diagnostic fee. Honestly speaking, for pricy bikes like theirs, shouldn't the warranty cover all fees (including shipping fee back and forth) if problems are covered by warranty?? $90 may not be a lot of money (compared to the price of their battery and bikes), but I felt scammed by their "warranty policy".

waiting...waiting...lack of communication
While I cannot give a review on something I have not received, what I can review is their customer service throughout the process because my wife and I purchased 2 model J's and were told it would be about a 4-5 weeks wait which at the time seemed reasonable. Then it went to 5-6 weeks after we signed for our purchase and now that we're reaching 6 weeks I was informed after 3 calls to customer service that we should call back in 2-3 more weeks because they are still fulfilling orders from June. Proactively calling your customers and giving order updates my help with the frustration level of your customers. While we understand there are building delays due to back ordered parts what we thought we’d have in a little over a month now looks like we won’t receive our bikes until closer to 3 months after the date of purchase. I hope the model J is worth the wait and I am looking forward to giving a better review but for now what seems like the questionable business practice of telling the customers they will receive their purchase in 4-5 weeks just to get you to make the sale and lack of updates on the process, has for now left a bad taste for your company and warrants this 1 star review. (@EBC you can verify our purchase @HB in Aug via our email)

Sweet, Smooth Ride!
My new model S from the Electric Bike Company rides like a dream! My husband and I have had a great time exploring further distances on beautiful trails. It was fun to custom design my bike with cute colors; I've had several compliments while out biking. Looking forward to many trips with my new ride!

My wife and I both purchased EBC bikes after having had the opportunity to ride e-bikes rented in Port Angeles WA. We rode EBC e-bikes and were very impressed, so much so we both decided we wanted to purchase our own e-bikes. The bike business owner highly recommended EBC bikes to us. After completing our research on e-bike manufacturers we determined that EBC was the best manufacturer to go with. We aren’t disappointed!!! The EBC bikes are head turners of other e-bike owners we pass. My model R is all I could ask for. A very solid and comfortable ride! My wife and I are encouraging family and friends to join the e-bike community and go with EBC.

Careful the chargers are not warranted…
Careful the chargers are not warranted if yours goes, even the same day paying over $3000.00 for a bike! ours started to smoke I unplugged it before it just in case t was about to catch fire! If yours fails You will be paying $150.00 - $200.00 for a new one, our Model F is 6 months old we can't use it now until we buy a new charger. We attempted to resolve this with their support over the phone they said no! They will only offer a $50 discount code to buy a new charger. Our bike was used 3 times. There's no excuse for this!

EBC Model R
The customer support at Electric Bike Company is great. After ordering my Model R online, I had to contact EBC a couple times with a few questions. I talked with a sales representative as well as using the online chat. They solved my issues quickly and provided updates along the way. The Model R is super comfortable and solidly built. It’s a smooth riding cruiser that looks awesome. Exceptional quality for a fair price. This is my fourth e-bike and definitely my favorite!

CYC Photon Specialized Roll
Installed the CYC Photo on a Specialized Roll with a mini max 52v battery. EBC was very helpful throughout the whole process. The bike is amazing now with the mid drive motor.

MAJOR BATTERY ISSUES
I could not be more frustrated with my EBC bike. All the introductory material says that you should charge your battery every 2-3 months. Which I did. But then my battery went into sleep mode, which apparently can happen if you don't charge the battery for just a couple weeks. What is the solution? Get a separate charger that costs $200+. I didn't have that money, when I finally did about 6 months later, it didn't work. Upon calling the service line I was told in a very cavalier manner that there are now dead cells and I would need a new battery. I have MANY batteries in drones, high end cameras, and other equipment. None of those batteries behave in this matter, and it renders this very expensive piece of equipment almost useless. Please look elsewhere, this is not the place to get your e-bike.

I waited 3 months because a part was on back order. I was nervous I got scammed but boy was I wrong. Once I got my bike- it was worth the wait. The quality is outstanding. I’m extremely happy with my Purchase. Worth the wait!!!!

Will never purchase a bike from them again.
Inaccurate estimates for completion. Would probably be less upset if the initial estimate completion date was actually accurate, but no communication after they take thousands of dollars from you. 'Blake' in Live Chat who I'm sure is probably ten different people tells you that your bike will be done this week, then next week, then next week (at the latest of course). Doesn't stop them from continuing to take orders for more and more bikes online. No communication, and order status info on website is completely meaningless. Resets every week and then says your bike will be done on the May 1st, but it's already May 15th.
