Go over visitor care plan and read the…
Go over visitor care plan and read the exclusions list. Most of the common type of illness are not covered per insurance policy ** Read carefully as the much needed ones are the end and not so common ones are at the start **. I called to customer care for pre certifications, even before I could complete my statement, the answer I get is, condition is not covered. And for each of the case they bring your notice to one of the exclusion list number. What is the point of buying an insurance which does not cover your basic needs? Extra based on the reply: This was not a pre-existing condition, but a sudden onset of infection which needed antibiotics. Finally, we had to pay everything from pocket.
Date of experience: September 22, 2019
Short-term travel medical insurance is meant to provide coverage for any new and unexpected illness or injury. Most plans do not provide coverage for pre-existing conditions or preventative care. We definitely agree that it is very important to read your policy documents carefully so you know exactly what is, and is not, covered by your policy. If you need further assistance or have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

Pathetic service!
Pathetic service! This is for @visitorscoverage. Stop reporting my review if you can’t solve my issues. Very bad customer service. They won’t solve the issue and now start reporting reviews if someone posts it. Read it below: Buying the insurance was easy but when it comes to claim, you guys are cheat! I am contacting you guys through different mediums for past 1 month. No response! For claims these people say we are not responsible and a company called GBG is partner. Now GBG, just one general helpline number with same response. No number to call to customer care or claims department. Worst experience of my life. If you guys can’t maintain the credibility, you should close your shop. I am fedup with reaching out to these guys everyday for past 1 month.

As you know, VisitorsCoverage does not handle claims, and any inquiries regarding claims must be addressed directly with the policy administrator of the plan that was purchased. However, we have reached out to you to assist you in this process and have alerted the insurance company about your situation and they have escalated the matter and should be reaching out to you soon to resolve the issue.

Very expensive visitor health insurance
Very expensive visitor health insurance
Date of experience: May 21, 2019
Thank you for your feedback. Pricing on the insurance products we offer is regulated by the Department of Insurance, so other insurance companies cannot offer the same plan and benefits for a lesser price and we can guarantee the lowest possible price. We offer different plan options striving to meet the needs of all our customers. Comprehensive plans, like the Patriot America plan you purchased, offer more complete benefits, but can also be a bit more expensive. In the future, please feel free to reach out to our team of licensed insurance specialists at [email protected]. They can assist you selecting a plan which meets your individual needs in regards to coverage and pricing.

Very bad experience
Very bad experience. The website is not intuitive , it says coverage for GC holders but ask's for Indian address. Stupid
Date of experience: May 19, 2019
We are sorry to hear you did not find our website to be intuitive. Our goal is to simplify travel insurance making it easy to understand for everyone. The plans we offer cover an insured person anywhere outside of their home country and are meant to be a temporary form of coverage. For green card holders planning to reside in the U.S permanently, a domestic health coverage would be a suitable option. We do offer temporary plans covering green card holders using a U.S address. For assistance with selecting the right plan to meet your individual needs, please feel free to contact our team of licensed insurance specialist at [email protected]

I bought travel insurance and received medical insurance certificate
Date of experience: April 25, 2019
We understand that discerning between different types of insurance can be challenging, so we always do our best to educate our customers and offer assistance as needed. The plan you purchased, EuropeTravel Plus, is a travel medical insurance policy, which provides coverage for new and unexpected medical situations which may arise while traveling abroad. It also satisfies all the necessary insurance requirements for the Schengen visa. Travel insurance is the same as travel medical insurance, but is also used synonymously with trip insurance, which provides trip coverage for situations like trip cancellation, interruption and lost baggage or passport. However, many travel medical insurance plans may also provide some trip benefits, and some trip insurance plans may offer medical benefits. One of our licensed insurance experts has reached out to discuss your coverage with you and ensure you understand all your benefits, but has not heard back. Please reach out to us at [email protected] or toll free at 1.866.384.9104 so we can walk you through the EuropeTravel Plus policy and all its unique features.

SCAM : Don't buy Policy from Visitor coverage
I bought 'CoverAmerica - Gold' policy for my mother and paid almost 250 $/month policy premium. I have shared all required document with 'seven corners'( vendor for CoverAmerica - Gold') team to process claims and called so many times but they have not processed almost 1 year completed. I am very disappointed. According to 'seven corners', they are still working on claims. I am getting a threat calls and letters from the provider. I would not suggest anyone buy a policy from Visitor coverage Certificate ID: CAGL17-107153 Certificate ID: CAGL18-102903

Thank you for reaching out. We understand that you are dealing with a delayed claim and know that can be extremely frustrating. Because we are an online comparison marketplace and do not process claims, we have no control over the speed which claims are handled by the insurance administrator. The travel insurance industry is heavily regulated by the Department of Insurance, so we can assure you that the policies we offer are credible and anything stated as covered in the policy details you will be reimbursed accordingly. Additionally, we always do our best to help our customers before, during and after the purchase process to make sure they have the best experience possible. Our licensed insurance and claims expert will be reaching out to you shortly to assess how we can further assist you in this process.

Disappointed):
I just purchased this insurance because it was stating a lot of things that were required for the schengen visa that iam applying for. But when I downloaded the visa letter, I was disappointed. The dental isn't there and things are not listed as they tell you on the website. I don't even know if the embassy is gonna accept that...

We understanding finding the right plan to satisfy all the insurance requirements for a Schengen visa can be confusing, so we do our best to create and offer plans that satisfy these requirements and more. The plan you selected, EuropeTravel Plus, is the best insurance plan for a Schengen visa, so one of our licensed insurance experts will be reaching out to go over the benefits with you to ensure that you understand the coverage and are satisfied with your plan purchase.

Our Experience with Patriot America Plus…
Our Experience with Patriot America Plus by IMG was very bad. I bought a Plan for my Mom. unfortunately she had a heart attact while in USA. We did not have any knowledge of her preexisting condition. IMGlobal simply said they would not cover anything. This business is fraud. Its not an insurance. they issue certificates. When called for claim. They say- payment is not guaranteed. what is the converage for?? Avoid this company and look else where.
Date of experience: February 15, 2019
We are very sorry to hear that your mom had a heart attack while visiting the US. We sincerely hope she made a speedy recovery and is feeling much better now. We understand that you are dealing with a denied claim, and that can be extremely frustrating. However, VisitorsCoverage does not process claims and any inquiries regarding claims must be addressed directly with the policy administrator of the plan that was purchased. It is important to note that the insurance industry in the United States is heavily regulated by the Department of Insurance, and any exclusions to insurance policies are explicitly stated in the policy documents which we recommend reading prior to making a purchase. If you feel that your claim has been wrongfully denied, you can always file an appeal. Our licensed insurance and claims expert will be reaching out to you shortly to see if there is anything additional we can help you with on our end.

Date of experience: January 09, 2019
The insurance plans that we offer are temporary solutions for travelers and short-term international visitors and are not intended to be used as a permanent health insurance solution for US citizens or permanent residents. We are very transparent about this fact and have several articles on our website explaining the reason for this, so we are sorry you were not able to locate that information. Some of the plans we offer can help to bridge the gap while new residents wait for a permanent health insurance plan from their employer or elsewhere, but it is important to note that our plans do not meet Affordable Care Act requirements because they are not intended for long-term use. We wish you the best in your search for permanent health insurance!

Really bad experience
Really bad experience: I bought a safe travels insurance policy for my in-law and got policy covered by so called Trawick International. I got appointment for doctor while choosing in network doctor/hospitals listed. Still i have to pay full amout as they said they don't identify this insurance company. I provided them my policy number and details as well but still no luck. Here is details: Policy number:STVE-14587-18 Order Number: 559875

We understand that you are frustrated that you were required to pay up front for medical services. It is important to note that travel medical insurance billing works differently than a domestic health insurance plan. Even if the provider is in-network, it is still up to that facility to decide how they handle the billing process when it comes to travel medical insurance. Many medical providers, even within the PPO network, will require patients to pay for medical services up front and you will be responsible for submitting a claim for reimbursement from the insurance administrator after. Additionally, it is always best to reference the PPO Network (in this case, First Health Network) to the provider, rather than the insurance administrator or policy ID. Lastly, travel medical insurance generally only provides coverage for new and unexpected medical situations and does not include preventative care such as doctor visits or pre-existing conditions coverage. One of our licensed insurance experts will be reaching out to you shortly to get more details and understand if there is any additional assistance we can provide you in this situation.

I had a medical emergency while on a trip, and Visitorscoverage tried to deny me coverage in any way possible. First they did not answer my emails for months, then they asked for additional paperwork, and finally they made some noise about pre-existing conditions that were not actually there. I am probably going to end up court to dispute their denial, DO NOT BUY insurance from them as they will try to deny you coverage in any way possible
Date of experience: December 10, 2018
Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand you are dealing with a denied claim and know that can be extremely frustrating. However, it is important to note that VisitorsCoverage does not process or make decisions regarding claims, but rather the insurance company who handles all claims. Additionally, it is important to note that the insurance industry is heavily regulated by the Department of Insurance, and any exclusions to the policies are explicitly stated in the policy documents, which we recommend reading prior to making a purchase. If you feel that your claim has been wrongfully denied, you can always file an appeal. Lastly, we did not see any attempt to make contact with our team at VisitorsCoverage after your initial purchase in April of this year. In any case, our claims specialist has reached out to you to assist in this process and see if there is any way we can help you through the claims process with the policy administrator.

Very bad experience
I am not the kind of person who generally post reviews but had a very bad experience with visitors coverage insurance so sharing it here. If I could would rate them 0 stars. We purchased insurance for my parents in October 2017 for both my parents. For 4 months stay we ended up paying $500+ for the insurance. During their stay we had to take my dad to the hospital as he complained about chest pain. We went to the location listed on Tokyo marine which is the vendor under visitors coverage who provided the insurance. So we went to urgent care and they said to take my dad to the emergency hospital so we took him to the emergency hospital. We came back Home later that day. A week later he had the same issue and we ended up doing the same thing except everything was resolved at the urgent care. I got 4 to 5 bills totaling $1000 from the hospital stating my insurance is not paying these bills. I ended up paying everything from my pocket. I am thinking I paid $500 to purchase the insurance and $1000 for hospital bills so why did I purchase the insurance. I submitted these claims to the insurance company and they were rejected. Not to mention had to deal with horrible customer service.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take customer complaints very seriously and want to do everything within our power to assist you. We understand that dealing with denied claims can be extremely frustrating, but unfortunately VisitorsCoverage does not process claims or make reimbursement decisions, so we cannot change the final decision made by the policy administrator. However, our claims specialist will be reaching out to you directly today to see if we can further assist you in this process. It is important to note that visitors insurance only provides coverage for anything new that occurs after purchasing a policy and does not provide coverage for pre-existing conditions due to the short term nature of the plans. It is always up to the attending physician to determine whether a specific medical situation is the result of a pre-existing condition and further if it would be considered an acute onset. The insurance industry is heavily regulated by the Department of Insurance and any exclusions to the policies are explicitly stated in the policy documents, which we highly recommend reading prior to making a purchase. However, if you feel that your claim has been wrongfully denied, you can always file an appeal.
