Easy to buy, impossible to settle claims
I took insurance for my parents through Visitor Coverage provider Safe Travels USA Comprehensive Insurance. The website is very conveniennt for buying the plans, but they take no responsibility to settle any claims. The plan worked well till we actually had to use it. My mother had to undergo hospitalization and we had that and other related healthcare expenses. The treatment was done cashless but the insurance company is not settling the claim. They infact clubbed all claims even from before hospitalization and none of them have been settled. It has been more that a year for some claims and more than 6 months for the others. Every time I call them, they ask for something more, and say the claim will be finalized in 15 days. Now all my claims have ended up with collection agencies sending me mails to settle. Please stay away from this site and the providers, go through a proper insurance company for coverage!

My morning train was at 7:15 and I was…
My morning train was at 7:15 and I was up at 5 to get ready. Suddenly emailed at 6am before departure that the train had been canceled. No reason stated. By this time I had booked a uber XL for $60. couldn't cancel because the driver was already downstairs. It was too much really! I had no choice but to call customer service with a meltdown. Customer service was very extremely rude! It was horrible! When I asked what caused the train to be temporarily canceled, she just said she didn't know and was very indifferent. I have adhd and rsd. I am devastated and heartbroken! How will your company compensate for these????

VisitorsCoverage sold a bogus insurance…
7/12/23 - I was asked to provide proof of my review the 4th time by VisitorsCoverage. I am sure VisitorsCoverage has a large customer support team and they can collectively spend more time on replies etc. I don't have that much time, but I would provide details one last time. Again, nothing in this is false. I would also like readers to read other negative experiences with VisitorsCoverage and WorldTrips and decide for themselves. - Policy bought and paid upfront for 6 months (23 Dec 2022 to 17 June 2023) - on 12/21/22 - paid $2155.86 (certificate # 100216778 ) - first provider visit - ER visit - 12/27/22 - Claim # 23-0000005635-00, Amount Charged by provider - $475.00, Paid by WorldTrips/VisitorsCoverage - $120 on 3/3/23 - rest $355.00 paid by Patient. - second visit - Specialist 4/3/23 - Claim # 223-0000033935-00, Amount Charged by provider - $186.33, Paid by WorldTrips/VisitorsCoverage - ZERO - All paid by Patient. They closed this on 7/6/23 - after patient declined to renew on Policy expiry. This claim was kept open so patient could not cancel the policy. - Patient called and emailed multiple times after End April to find out about Claim # 223-0000033935-00 since the experience during first claim was very bad. The calls were made on Apr 28 (the rep kept patient on phone and did not transfer to the supervisor after repeated requests), May 3, 9 and 17. Multiple emails were sent saying to cancel the policy as the response was awful and horrible. VisitorsCoverage did not even bother to care till it was time to renew. I have told the experience earlier. Their CSM was not doing her job. Again - Readers - run away from VisitorsCoverage and WorldTrips. My experience with these companies was horrible. TrustPilot - I have given your team team so much content and proof - I can not waste any more time. It is upto you to decide. Thanks! 7/8/23 - I was asked to review my claim 3rd time so here it is again. VisitorsCoverage mentioned that the second claim was paid out - but I received the EOB and it was put on me to pay it out. THIS IS A SCAM - I reiterate - run away from this company. I stand by my analysis and feedback and will never contact this company again. I just want to make sure that other people don't get cheated by this scam. VisitorsCoverage again asked me to delete this review by saying that both claims have been settled. They are lying - the second claim (#223-0000033935-00) is still open - it was initiated on Apr 3, 2023 (more than 2 months ago). The insurance company deliberately did not pay this and twisted my arm at the time of renewal to renew the coverage. The first claim (223-0000005635-00) was partially paid (they paid $125 for $475 bill, I paid the rest). Again - this is a scam - run away I was asked to delete the review - but I have stated everything that happened to me. I made various attempts to reach both VisitorsCoverage( broker ) and the insurance company multiple times via emails and phone and they did not make any effort to solve the issue. They only spring to action when it was time to renew the policy. I reiterate this is a scam. VisitorsCoverage sold a bogus insurance policy to me. I paid for 6 months upfront for a very expensive premium. I had to go to an Urgent care, the bill was $475 and they paid $120 only, I had to pay the rest. Then on Apr 3 (3rd month of the policy) , I went to a specialist and the bill was $186. To this date, they have not paid - my policy expired now and they wanted me to renew it. I asked them to cancel my policy in Apr end/early May multiple times (to both VisitorsCoverage as well as the insurance company) and they denied saying that there is a claim pending. They won't pay the claim amount to specialist as well. So my hands were tied behind my back. I wanted to cancel, but they did not let me and also they did not pay the claim. So after paying $2200 in premium , they just paid $120 to 1 provider. This is a scam. you should run away from both VisitorsCoverage and WorldTrips. On top of it, their Customer Success Manager does not understand and want to read communication, but wanted me to renew. I had to tell her to stop this unfair practice and ask for my premium refund from April and she said they can not. Look at this audacity - they want you renew, but won't pay for claims, won't pay the claim so you can not cancel. This is reported to BBB as well..Please avoid this scam.

It appears you are confusing us with your insurance policy administrator for your correspondence on your claims matter. VisitorsCoverage did not receive any correspondence from you until May 1st, 2023. Based on the information we have at this time, 100% of your claims have been approved as of 6/30 and are being paid processed by the policy administrator. This information is visible by accessing your plan WorldTrips account. VisitorsCoverage did not receive any written requests to cancel your policy or ask you to continue your coverage. Under the insurance policy provisions refunds for any premium with (paid) claims are not available. We also explained that the renewal notification is there in case you did need to extend and is optional to fit your personal needs. We also request to please consider removing this review since your claims are completely processed and approved per the policy wording. For any further assistance, we kindly request that you communicate directly with us via email at [email protected]. This will enable us to provide you with more personalized and effective support. Thank you.

Trash website and bad coverage descriptions
Trash website, hard to use, information architecture is poor and keyboard controls is super bad. Not easy to use at all. Coverage descriptions are purposely designed to be hard to read and hides lots of detail. They won't allow you to get a quote for a party with different age ranges, will require you to go through the same process multiple times for different age groups and different travel dates. Coverages are also not straightforward, no pre-existing condition coverage for most plans. Do not recommend!

No PCR test coverage - disappointed
The plan said Covid-19 was covered but when reading the fine print, it said Covid PCR tests required for re-entry are not covered. I had to pay $880 out of pocket for my family of four. That was my main reason for getting the insurance plan. These tests should be covered in the plan.

Plans that include coronavirus (COVID-19) coverage, will only cover COVID-19 testing if the policyholder is experiencing symptoms and the test is ordered by an attending physician for diagnostic purposes for the new illness. This website is a scam
This website is a scam. I bought this insurance for my parents who were visiting from overseas. Buying the insurance and paying was very easy, however when we needed the insurance to cover a true medical emergency they never paid a single penny. Every time I contacted they claimed that they need more paperwork and they still did not recieve the chart from the hospital. Over 2 years have already passed and nothing has been paid. This is not a legit insurance company. It is a scam. They hire few people to respond to the phone calls and the e-mails but they will never cover any medical bills. All the reviews with more than one star is because it is very easy to buy the insurance on line not because the paid a single penny. They will reply to this review that they are sorry and they tried to contact me directly and tried to solve the issues but all these are just lies. Take my advice and save your money.
