Don’t fall for the Kaped scheme.
This company is not a TRUE credit card company. Our business signed up last week, we were approved for a specific amount and this morning a hold was placed on our business checking account, which was well above the amount our business was approved for. When I called to inquire about the hold I was told by Joshua Elliot (who answered the phone in a very unprofessional & nonbusinesslike manner) said this is the way the account works; you sign up and you’re agreeing to a weekly draft to be deducted from your checking account to be deposited to your credit card. He said “they must have given you paperwork to sign that explains that” & “who did you meet with”. First of all, NO we were not given paperwork to explain this and we did NOT meet or speak with anyone, it was all done online! In addition to this, another member of customer service, Shawn Hernandez began emailing me attempting to shame me or make me feel embarrassed for calling them out on their unprofessional and unethical practices. I had to threaten reporting him for harassing communications to get him to finally stop trying to engage me in an argument. We are supposedly getting our funds reversed back to the account and supposed to be having any overdraft fees covered but folks ... BE AWARE! Don’t fall into the trap we fell into. Kaped is a SCAM!
