To start, it is Brian Gavin that "wrote the book" on Hearts and Arrow cuts that are so widely used now, so it is obvious that all of his diamonds have superior cuts, which in my opinion is the most important of the 4 C's. BGD is also a family business that has spanned over several generations, and this becomes obvious in how helpful they are in their customer service, as they look to find the perfect stone for you at your budget. Even more importantly, they are not pushy like sales people that you will find at Brick and Mortar Jewelers, or in the call centers of a large company like Blue Nile. I spent less that $5000 on a pair of earrings and the customer service I received from Leslie was impeccable, so I can only imagine what it would be like in the event that I were to be spending much more on a product like a custom engagement stone or the like (which I do intend to do with BGD at some point). She was with me every step of the way, and I could not believe how quickly she responded to my questions by email. I received my earrings before I even expected to, and the packaging and presentation were superb, not to mention that the earrings FAR exceeded by expectations.
