After 5 months and 700 miles I'm using the model C with front basket. This bike is built like a tank with safety and comfort in mind, to the point that I've sold my car (Toyota 4runner) and switched to this bike (with Uber for longer commute). I do everything with it within 10 miles range: Groceries shopping, commute to work, Doctor appointment, visiting friends etc.. Delivery and unboxing was a breeze. 20 mins later I was on the road. So why only 4 stars? I couldn't give 4.5 stars. The main reason is the kick stand's location. It is really annoying since this bike had became my daily commuter in the Las Vegas surrounding. I always have to deal with the left pedal to make sure it's not in the way of the kick stand. Be aware of the tube size of the rear rack if you want to find panniers or saddlebags that can fit properly other than their nice looking, but expensive leather saddlebags they're selling. The motor might be a bit loud (not sure but I see some people turning their head when I come from behind) but it doesn't bother me since I'm listing to music all the time. The overall quality is undeniable. I haven't done any tuning since day one but will do before the summer here, where bicycling is a life threatening activity. Battery life if more than enough. I get 40-50 mile in one single charge only using pedal assist level 2 most of the time, except for up hills. The external charger is a must buy if you don't want to play with the built-in wired one inside... and it charges the battery a lot faster. I'll recommend to get the NXC suspension seat for a top level of comfort. The brake pads also last for about 500-700 miles depending of your weight, they're cheap and the delivery is really fast. Customer service deserve a 5 stars period. Before I jumped for an EBC model C, I tried other E-bike like Pedego and for my usage EBC bike is a no brainer. It requires a minimum of maintenance (chain and pads as well as spokes) I haven't had a flat tire (yet), their inner tube protection worked perfectly. Also the one gear works just fine for me (57yo, 210 dude) so I can concentrate on the road instead of switching gear every 10 sec. In combination with the thumbed throttle what more can I ask for? My experience with this bike has changed my lifestyle in a way that I'm more active, lot less dependent of a car (renting once in a while plus Uber), save money in the long run (the bike pays for itself in 3 years of use). I will definitely get another one when this one need to retire. I'll absolutely recommend this bike and company to anyone who wants to try the E-bike experience as a commuter or beach cruiser or eventually wants to be carless (big cities only). Update: After reading my review EBC offered to send me a new kickstand, free of charge that doesn’t block the pedal. Bravo and 5 stars.
