I called three times
I called three times. Once for information, the second time to have a more detailed idea of what I needed to buy, and the third time because I had bought it ($1,400)and it looked like what I thought I had purchased wasn’t going to be enough. It was very confusing, and worrying. How could I trust that if anything happened I would actually be insured? Fortunately, nothing did happen and I didn’t need to use the insurance.
For me the language around what is covered and what is not covered is vague. It is not put in understandable terms. And when I asked, I was told to read the insurance paper work. I still couldn’t figure it out. I’m sure your writers could do better. And your agents could be trained to answer questions more clearly, and directly. It was obvious they were referring to a document when I asked questions. They were reading the convoluted language of insurance that is not decipherable for most of us. For example, I initially asked if what I had purchased covered my airplane cost. First answer seemed to be yes. Then I called back a week or two later and the answer was, no you need to buy more insurance to insure your airplane cost (which was something like around $300 more. ) That was when I regretted having gone with Travelex.
