Barikade arrived damaged
Barikade arrived (3/27) in an unusable state. Customer service (3/28) was kind and helpful, and offered a replacement. However it has been about a week and a half maybe two and it has not arrived, nor have I received tracking info. Will call back soon to confirm. Not the end of the world, but I’m disappointed I have to go through all of this, just to get a product that works. Update:(4/8 I think) customer service was again very kind and helpful, and when notified the shipment hadn’t gone out, it was shipped the next day. However, they mailed out an entirely different product. Upon contacting customer service again (4/13), I learned this was an intentional effort to send me an upgrade. The problem is that the upgrade is a larger safe, which doesn’t suit my needs. Customer service was once again kind and helpful, offering for me to keep the product, and sell me a new Barikade for 30% off. I thought that was a good deal, and I’ve taken it. Hopefully, the new Barikade arrives with no further issue.

Like all products in the LifePod series…it's unusable
Like all products in the LifePod series, the LifePod 2.0 is just a fraction small in all dimensions. I bought two of the Colion Noir version with the leather organizer. The EDC tray is worthless if your gun is more than 1" wide. My P365 fits fine by itself. Put a light on it, and it's too wide. I must bend the EDC tray over the light to shut it. My P320? Not with the EDC tray. Don't put small items in the mesh pocket, unless you enjoy putting them back in after toting it around for 30 seconds. This design failure should be fixed by putting a zipper on it and making the EDC tray about 1/4" less deep. Then you probably have a usable product that fetches 4 or 5 stars.

Cable can easily be cut with bolt…
Cable can easily be cut with bolt cutters. To many steps to open non biometric models. Not enough color options for biometric version. Overall, it's a below average product that's disappointing. I purchased six of these vaults this month - 3 via the company's website, 1 from Amazon and 2 via Costco Next... avoid Amazon at all costs because it arrived and was clearly used. Avoid Costco because they only sell limited versions and colors and none of the biometric models. Ultimately, I will keep 4 of them -- returned the one that arrived used and one from Costco -- but hope for improvements for future versions and that the company will address these issues to make it a great product. Good concept though.

Your ordering system
Your ordering system. Received emails twice on inventory coming available at specific time/date only to try the first time and never got through. The second time inventory became available at specific/time-date I was kicked out multiple times. Finally got into website and it said I could order 2 safes which I did. Put in CC INFO PLUS ALL SHIPPING INFO…. only to find out days later that I didn’t get the product because you didn’t have the inventory you were selling. I have since received emails that best case I will potentially receive product in May 2023 “but still don’t know) I have tried to order this product since last Fall for gifts, been put on email notifications mutiple times. I am a return customer, but pretty frustrated with the experiences of trying to get these 2 safes.

The biometric system is very poor
The biometric system is very poor. The companies solution is to have you enter the same fingerprint under multiple users to allow for the slightest variances to pick up your print. I have the same fingerprint under five users and still can’t get into my safe without the code. Both models that I own have the same problem. If you need quick access/entry this is not the safe for you.

Vaultek 10 series not reliable
I bought the Vaultek 10 series Aug 2022 and had issues with opening the safe using my PIN. I had to reset my pin a few times in order to fixed the issue. Not a reliable safe if you are in emergency situation and need to retrieve your gun. I would not recommend.

After being the victim of the first…
After being the victim of the first website crash, I contacted support to ask if steps were being taken to prevent a similar occurrence. I was given assurances that steps were being taken and new processes and equipment put in place to handle the increased traffic to the website during the special period for those of us who requested to be notified when the product became available again. At least this time I was able to complete the purchase process. Or so I thought, received an email that they somehow sold more units than they had. Not sure how that’s possible. I was then given and option of waiting, taking the product but in a different color than I had purchased or cancelling my order. I chose the different color unit but received no confirmation from Vaultek that they received my email. Had to call to confirm they received it. No idea when I will see my order but I’m praying it’s as good as I’ve heard given the amount of problems getti NB it has been.

Website malfunction
I purchased a safe via Vaultek’s website on Feb 15. After hours of trying, the website continued to crash or freeze up, I was able to purchase and received a confirmation. A week later I called to find out the status of my order and after 15 minutes was told there was a glitch on that day and they didn’t have enough quantity to fulfill the orders and I wouldn’t be receiving my safe till the next shipment arrived, nearly a month later. Supposedly a email was sent explaining what happened but I never received it. Finally got a email 10 days later explaining the situation and offering 5% discount for my wait. Terrible experience and poor customer service.

Disappointed
The case is not deep enough to use the tray with a compact gun. The biometrics did not work on my safe when setting up the case. I guess I will just use the keyboard to access the case. Too much of a hassle to send back. The other products I purchased in the past worked fine.

SR20i that I received is thin sheet…
The SR20i that I received is thin sheet metal box. Don't trust it, other than to keep the kids out of it. I don't think it qualifies as a gun storage box.

Delayed delivery Again
Again, fed ex delivery was delayed. My package was on a truck for days with no delivery attempts. Vaultek should offer more delivery options with other carriers such as UPS. Giving us only one method of delivery makes vaultek responsible for delays as customers have no choice but only trusts delivery will be on time.

Hello Nate! Thank you for your feedback! For optimal results we recommend duplicating your registered fingerprints. This will give the scanner more comparative images and increase your success rate. Since biometric technology is affected by several factors, we recommend enrolling several fingers and testing to see which fingers get the best results. Then duplicate enrollment for these prints, and delete the less successful fingerprints. Additionally, we recommend a flat application of the finger on the scanner. As a reference point, try to aim the half-moon cuticle on the bottom of the fingernail in the center of the scanner for optimal results. Add-on handle? Really?
A simple piece of small plastic handle had to not only be bought separately but shipped additionally? Really? Makes for an awkward gift wrap when I’m giving this as a gift to a client. Invest in repackaging, and for the already expensive price, include it!

Honestly not really worth the money.
The smart safe is cool but the mag charger doesn’t work, case , no case , flipped directions doesn’t matter it will be sitting there for like 2 minutes then start beeping and not charging. It’s also a bedside clock with no alarm clock? Doesn’t make much sense to me but whatever. Other than that, holds stuff and the slide works great and tells the time.

The production descriptions are pictures are deceptive, to be more specific, when you utlize the shelves it makes it impossible to run an AR mount on the door. The door will not close and the shelving options are lacking. Non-existing 1/2 shelves for the "top of the line RS800i" makes for awkward pistol configurations. It would be nice to have a 1/2 shelf (or smaller) to run single pistol racks from top to bottom along one side and allow AR mounts. I do own multiple Vaultek safes but this will be my last if i keep it all.

You may be able to reconfigure your current setup for additional space. If possible, try to raise the shelf on the back wall and at the same time lower the AR mount on the door.
