No follow up call…
I called their toll free number to request some information about ordering some hi viz shirts that were listed as out of stock. The representative told me after doing some research that they were indeed out of that item but would check with the person that does the ordering and get back with me. I wanted to order 150 shirts overall. I never received that return call. I guess they didn't really want my business then or in the future.

Comments on recent phone call to Transportation Safety Apparel yesterday 6/5/2017, MONDAY.
I called up customer service yesterday, 6/5/2017, and they were very helpful. Customer service personnel was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable about safety products and apparel specifically designed for Waste Management companies. She was able to help me navigate through the TSA online catalog and guided me where to find WM safety products such as WM hard hats. I was very much impressed and satisfied with my phone call experience yesterday,6/5/2017. Cancelled an order without explanation
Cancelled an order without reasonable explanation. Said it was to do with international shipping and my credit card but 2 weeks previously sent me an order without issue so it can only be a lie. Now they say it is too complex and I could not understand the complexities of shipping without knowing my experience in shipping items internationally. Very unsatisfactory treatment by this organisation. Still not trying to resolve the matter just telling my I am wrong. Great way to treat customers. Reply from Transportation Safety Apparel Our expanation may not be what you wanted to hear, however due to complexities of shipping overseas, the process we outlined to you is unfortunately what is needed to complete your request. Then how come the credit card worked 2 weeks earlier? Do you know how hard and expensive it is to make a small international funds transfer? I use the credit card to buy things from overseas every week, Amazon do not hesitate. What the truth behind this story? Come on whats going on? Ross

Customer service's "A Diamond In the rough"
I'll start out by saying there are a lot of companies like your's out there, your's had the particular items I was looking for. Had my first experience a couple of years ago with Jen in customer service, what a sweet heart, found the item I was looking for kinda went back and forth a bit on size's but out of it she was off the charts. a few months ago looking for the same item hit you guys up after getting the wrong product sent to me i called and had the pleasure of having Kim take care of me. Wanna say how kind and courteous she was and worked diligently to solve my issue (ask my wife I have a lot of them). She is a gem on your front lines, you should be proud to know your company and products are in such great care thank you Kim and thank you TSA for having such a sweet heart on your team.

hivis materials are required to be …
hivis materials are required to be washed on gentle and line dried for the hivis to last thru a washing. This is a landfill operation. Due to the type of operations, you would expect more durable items than this. You are not going to have grown men line drying their PPE or washing them in a gentle cycle. Ridiculous expectations.

Even though we would love to make our own apparel that not only is durable but is also stain resistant, unfortunately we have to rely on how the manufacturers desgin and make them, based on industry and safety guidelines set forth by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA). Also because of the way the reflective stripes are made and put on the apparel, we have found out that fabric softeners and normal wash and dry cycles are damaging and cause the reflective stripes to wear off or even come off the appareal. This may be out of the norm when it comes to washing your apparel but we know this will help any safety apparel last longer which is why we pass along this information. Nathan R. is the king of customer service at the "new and improved" TSA
I work for a municipal government in Washington State in the Transportation Department. Years ago I took over the task of ordering safety apparel for our staff. TSA was one of the main vendors we used because of the company's willingness to do custom logo work on a small scale of one or two garments at a time. I can honestly say there have been up and downs during my years of doing business with TSA. I would place my orders online and there would be lack of responsiveness and unexplained vendor errors in fulfilling orders. More than a few times I said, "After this order is filled, I will never do business there again." However, the corporate culture at TSA appears to have dramatically changed direction recently to a big emphasis on customer service - and it really shows. Whenever I would end up dealing with sales rep Nathan Redmond, I became confident things would eventually work out fine. At one point I expressed some frustration to Nate by email and he graciously offered to become a personal sales rep for my orders. Since then I have been able to email Nate directly with very detailed descriptions about my orders which was something not easily done using the TSA online ordering template. The degree of personalized care and responsiveness by Nate has been fantastic. A few weeks ago I asked Nate why items often take so long to deliver and are so often on backorder. Nate took the time to compose and write out a lengthy email reply to me about the inventory stocking challenges faced by TSA and throughout the safety apparel industry. I was able to share his reply with our affected staff members and those explanations created a lot of good will in spite of the wait for their gear. I have no insider information, but it feels like there has been a giant turnaround at TSA. Out of all the safety apparel vendors from which I could choose, TSA has become my favorite. If TSA management wonders whether superior, personalized customer service (and stellar staff members like Nathan Redmond) really matter, please believe me - they matter more than anything else! That is the primary thing that keeps me coming back to TSA instead of the competitors.
