Timely reimburse for a trip cancelled…
Timely reimbursement for a trip cancelled 12 days from cruise date! We got all our money back minus the travel insurance cost before our actual cruise date. Our travel coordinator provided the required paperwork and all members of our group were refunded. We will use this travel insurance company again for sure.

AON Claim No.900383xxx I booked the 2023 128 day world cruise with Holland America and I made the wise decision to purchase the Platinum Plan. Seven weeks into the cruise I developed pain in both of my legs and made It difficult for me to move around. Even codeine could not stop the pain. I have to interrupt my cruise and returned to Canada. I filed a claim with AON with all the documentation and it was settled in two month's time. I am very happy because the settlement was very reasonable.

Trip insurance made dealing with medical situation easier
Unfortunately we had to cancel a trip due to an unexpected medical situation. Luckily we had travel insurance. To deal with all the cancellations along with the medical situation could be very stressful. Luckily this insurance claim was an easy part to deal with. It was a relief that after filling out the form, collecting the required medical information and submitting it for review we received the money for the claim. That allowed us to continue to deal with the medical situation and not worry about losing funds. Hopefully we will be able to take our "trip of a lifetime" in the future and you know we will buying insurance on every future trip!

AON Did it Right!
Representatives were very responsive; process was easily understood; documentation required was understandable and not overly burdensome; time to close claim was very reasonable given the complexity of the claim and that it was a family member and not a traveler that caused the cancellation; and the outcome was very fair!

Fast Review and Action
I was advised by my Travel Agent to contact Customer Relations of Aon, the travel insurance I used for a Viking River cruise, Paris to Normandy. Two different airline flights were canceled as we were to start our trip, causing us to miss two days of our trip and required us to incur extra expenses. I had to submit receipts, emails from the airlines, unused boarding passes, etc., in order to submit my claim. It took me a full day to get everything together and forwarded, with no expectations of receiving any compensation. To my surprise, within two weeks we heard back from them that we would receive compensation and that would take place in 3 days, which is what happened! We were offered the choice of receiving a check or having money deposited in our checking account. I chose having them deposit the money in my account, and it was done immediately. Amazing! We were surprised and happy that our claim was handled so fast and to our extreme satisfaction. We will definitely get this insurance for any of our future trips! Thank you, Aon!

Don't go to rehab and miss your vacation
I sent all the appropriate information and proof I was in a medical facility and could not go on the cruise due to being in rehab when the cruise left. I was denied a refund stating cancelation for being intoxicated was not covered under the plan. Update 8/29/23 After I contacted the Better Business Bureau the company called and told me that if I was to submit paperwork stating that I was unable to attend the cruise due to a mental health reason that they would refund my money. I did, I got a letter from the facility stating that I was there for mental health reasons. Then they contacted me again saying they needed a certain paper filled out and it had to state the mental health issue and again they told me they would refund my money. So I had the medical staff fill out the paperwork as they said it should be filled out. And after jumping through all their hoops they again denied my claim and refused to give me my refund. This company is nothing but a scam. Do not waist your time or money using them as your insurance for a trip.

Clear and easy claim experience
The instructions on filing the claim were very clear and easy to follow. The communication from Aon was timely and to the point. I received the full insured refund on the cancelled cruise within two weeks of first filing the claim.

Ease of filing claim
I was in fear that I wouldn’t get a refund for cruise because it was very last minute. Had to cancel trip on embarkation day due to injury. I submitted claim a couple days later telling myself I just lost $5000. AON came through with an approval and in less than a month. They never questioned me on anything. I submitted my paperwork and got an approval response quickly even though they were swamped with claims. Definitely will use AON if and when I try this cruise thing again. Thank you AON.

Satisfied customer
I recently had a claim, and it was handled very quickly. I was satisfied with the amount paid and the turnaround. I wasn’t asked for huge number of documents, only reasonable documents that supported the claim. I would use this company again

Stranded in NYC - Aon Saved the Day!
My husband and I ended up stranded in NYC after a week long vacation. We didn't have anything bu tour backpacks - we were terrified and knew this could end up being quite the unexpected expense! Luckily we had trip insurance and filed a claim through Aon. It was easy to do and had an incredibly impressive turnaround time. We fully recovered all of our expenses due to our trip delay and I will ALWAYS travel with trip insurance from now on!

I am so disappointed with this service
I am so disappointed with this service. Due to my husband’s medical issues, we had to cancel our cruise. Uniworld promptly issued a refund. Aon Affinity has been beyond challenging to fulfill their refund. Please be advised that doctor ‘s statement, signature, etc has all been provided. I have had to do multiple inquiries on my own to no avail and have been at this process for a month. Egregious! *** Aon Travel: Trust me I have been in conversation with the customer service department to no avail. As recently as investing over 30 minutes this morning this this review. Update: Everything on my end was submitted the beginning of November. I was called after another review on another site and the blame was put on Uniworld who indeed reimbursed their portion within a 24 hour service. As oh late this afternoon I have been told that the checks are to be mailed.
