Dissapointing customer service
A few days after I bought a bag at Fashionette during the Sale period, I saw that the same bag was (also due to Sale) cheaper at Zalando. I, therefore, contacted Fashionette to claim their 'best retail price guarantee'. Since the offer at Zalando was only for a few days, I told Fashionette I could send their bag return and order it cheaper at Zalando but didn't like to do so because of sustainability reasons.
So I hoped I would get a normal response. Instead, they kept sending me emails for the direct link to the page at Zalando, which I sent already 4 times, urging them to look at it while the offer was still available.
Still, they kept sending me senseless requests with the same request, obviously stalling time to the day the offer at Zalando had expired. I even phoned them twice to tell them the problem and to say I would send back the item and order it cheaper at Zalando if they didn't respond soon.
They kept saying it would be fine and I would get the estimated difference back in form of a coupon or direct refund.
Of course, I doubted that because of the emails they kept sending telling me to have patience because it was already being handled and to ask for the direct link I'd send so many times already.
So, the next day (the three days of Sale at Zalando were expired, as I told Fashionette time after time) I hoped (but feared the opposite due to the above stalking time) to get the email with a coupon or whatever to justify their own guarantee for best retail price.
My fear was justified: the answer - after all my requests, pictures of the offer at Zalando, a direct link to the page (x4), and my phone calls to the customer service of Fashionette- was: 'The link to the bag at Zalando gives the normal retail price, which is higher than what you paid at Fashionette'.
Unbelievable, they just waited to give a definite answer for the day the offer had expired (which was clearly was stated on the page of the link and I which told them three days in a row) and stalled as long as was needed.
Because they kept stalling time I didn't send the bag back to them and order the cheaper one from Zalando. So in the end it had cost me not only energy from all these annoying contacts that led up to nothing, but also it cost me money because I cannot buy it anymore at Zalando at the price offer I was writing about.
Not what you would expect from a large and well-known company as Fashionette. Nor a way to treat a regular and returning customer.
Very disappointed. Of course, after all these contacts it is no longer the money that is my issue, it is the obvious bad intentions the customer service at Fashionette clearly adheres to.
