My home mortgage refinance experience
Sade and Marcilla were great to work with.
The only issues I encountered were:
1. The rate was not locked and the cost went up overnight. I had to pay an $800 premium for the money when we finally did lock. It wasn’t too painful as Sade rolled it into the loan balance.
2. Marcilla kept me on top of all the paperwork. Since everything but the closing was done over the Internet, it was very convenient for me. I’m a software engineer; other people not as tech savvy may not like how it was done.
3. Your closer Joe was professional and efficient; I was done in less than 1 hour.
4. The only snag in the closing is that Marcilla had asked me to bring one amount and the initial closing document had a different number; the issue was fixed on the fly 🙂
5. The closing was on July 26. I checked my PennyMac online portal on the 29th, I saw that they were still planning on auto-drafting my checking account on 8/1. I called them and the rep wasn’t sure they could stop it (only time will tell). I’m recommending that if the closing is near the end of the month that you or the client needs to contact the loan servicer immediately after the closing to stop ACH.
