Still my favorite daily pads
I bought a pair of G-Form elbow pads and knee pads for mountain biking at your tent in Crested Butte Outerbike last year. I loved the way they fit. When I got home, I was climbing a technical trail, and in a switch back I got hung up in some rocks and couldn't unclip my shoes from my pedals quickly. I tipped over. My left knee pad ripped. I was really angry; I had them for 1 week. I contacted customer service. I was basically told that I was a liar and that the material doesn't just rip. I was angry. However, I wasn't entirely truthful b/c I told the person that the pads ripped during riding and not in a crash. I mean, I didn't crash; I tipped over... and the material ripped. I was angry b/c the person didn't believe me, but I was slightly bending the truth b/c I only had the pads one week and they ripped on a simple tip over. I was most angry b/c the person said, "nah, you lying". They offered me 50% off my next order. I said "shove it, I'll never wear g form again."
Well... I kept wearing those ripped pads. For like a year. And they were awesome. Even with the rip. They saved my butt multiple times.
So, I eventually crumbled and bought another pair. I love them for regular riding. For bigger/gnarly stuff, you'll want a burlier pad. But for most stuff, these things are great.
