03/14/2020- Last update...
03/14/2020- Last update.... I finally was able to return the couch in Dec. (sad I know it took that long of broken promises) and now they have told the cc company that I agreed to a 800 restock fee/ delivery (which was paid ahead of time but they said it was in the bill) and now after the company obviously didnt go for that it is down to 400 restock fee. Like any normal person would agree to pay 400 additional dollars (after the 150 in delivery) for a defective couch and calls ever other day for months and months. Come on guys. I have now contacted a lawyer to handle this as I can no longer take it (and I will get this off my credit before it hits as my credit is near perfect). Its really sad people are still in business like this. I hope you do not have nay issues with your furniture. I have def, spread the word onto save others.
Update as of 10/21- Owner finally called me back (after numerous messages left) and said he would repair the couch and call the repair company that same day and let them know (this was 5 days ago). I called again today and the repair department nor the repair company has heard anything from him. I JUST WANT AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AND THIS HORRIBLE PIECE OF FURNITURE. A month gone by and nothing at all to show for the 2400 spent.
Update--- Their Designated Repair Man came out and agreed that this sectional is going to need repaired ( every single piece... 6 in total). It seems like the couch was made from bad foam so there are MANY MORE SOUTHERN MOTION defective couches OUT THERE. He took pics, recorded the noises the couch made etc. I still have not heard back from the owner Joe of Price Point, but I did have someone call me and say they would take it back with a 25% restock fee (25 % of 2400.00), and delivery fee and warranty would not be refunded. This is how they treat their customers Ladies and Gentlemen , so if this review does not warn you then I hope you do not have any issues after your purchase. BUYERS BEWARE. I want this couch picked up ASAP so I can get a good quality piece of furniture from a reputable company. Do not be fooled by the reviews.. I WILL NOT wait on a brand new couch to get picked up, get repaired, and then they send this back to my home.... THIS IS RIDICULOUS. NEVER AGAIN!
1st Review...........Just bought a Southern Motion reclining sectional today bc they said this was the best furniture company and it was made in USA. The entire couch squeaks and is extremely uncomfortable as we do not even want to sit on it long periods of time!!! I kid you not I have one position that is somewhat comfortable, (for about 30 minutes) but sitting normally is not even an option. I spent 2400 dollars on a couch that no one even wants to sit on (including myself). I want to return this couch and get a refund. I looked up Southern Motion and they have over 400 unresolved complaints. Try to find the positive reviews... Good luck! I am waiting to hear back from Joe the owner to see how this can be resolved. Hopefully there is no need to file a complaint with the BBB and they stand by their products and customers.
