Disappointed
First, Honeylove doesn't make it easy to leave a less than 5* review on their main website. At least, I had trouble finding it and I got tired of taking up my time trying to review it. I guess most would quit. I finally found Trustpilot upon a google searching.
I bought three pieces. SuperPower Brief, Liftwear CrossOver Bra, Silhouette Brief.
I am 5'6" with a C-section budda belly/scar. I weigh 153lbs, hour glass figure. Typical size 10. Bra size 38D. My main issue is tummy control.
I went in search of solving this problem as I wear ballroom dresses of which I don't want the bra strap showing and I also want slimming skirts with tops I am ok with a bra strap. Thus, I decided to try all three of these pieces. Like everyone else - I have a closet full of different types of underwear.
Positive first - I like the SuperPower Brief. It truly slims, gave me nice confidence, and a waist, which mine isn't super defined. It was comfortable and true to their claim - no roll-down. The negative for me - the back boning is easy to feel and as I mentioned the ballroom dancing dresses, I was self-conscious other dance partners might feel that whereas my husband ignored it and said he really didn't notice. That's probably just me. But I did enjoy the feel of control and comfort.
The bra. Nothing special at all to me. I've worn many styles of bras and I guess with heavier breasts, the straps are also an issue of cutting in. I could tell this one would do just that. It flattened more than lifted (I like lift. I don't mind my girls. Not wanting to hide them) I was not impressed at all. Especially for the price. I returned it.
Finally, the Silhouette Brief. Really? It is supposed to give you control. I guess I got a cast-off or something, because there was zero control. My budda belly did not change one centimeter. It simply felt like a pretty, silky, thin slip of material. And the worst part? No panty guard in it, so before I even opened the packaging, I would not be able to return it. I just bought a $31 panty. I will say, I'm pretty sure there will be no panty lines, so there is that.
Another positive - return was easy. Refund easy.
Are they worth it? I guess I didn't buy their biggest sellers, so I'm sure the body suit and other girdle-type shapewear probably is worth it based on my experience with the SuperPower Brief. The hype on the crossover bra I think is just good marketing. I am very happy some find the control and confidence they are wanting. I doubt I'll buy any more from them.
