Very positive long-term owner experience
I've owned my Verus Grand/Intimus/Bravus 10D system for several year now and wanted to write a brief review on the speakers and Aperion's customer service.
The speakers: To begin, the speakers are in a gloss cherrywood finish and look as good today as they did when I removed them from their boxes and protective cloth bags. The finish is durable, having survived secondary use as an occasional cat perch. Sonically, the Verus front-channel speakers are dynamic and extended (both high and low). The integration between the Verus main speakers (stand-mounted two-ways) and the Bravus subwoofer is seamless. The Intiimus center channel does its job and the rear speakers (Intimus bookshelf) provide great in-room coverage. The complete system provides an excellent home theater experience. The combination of the Aperion speakers and my Marantz receiver sounds great and I recommend both highly for their sound, ease of use, and overall value. Well done!
Before buying my speakers I was able to speak with the folks at Aperion to discuss my room, planned use of the speakers, and finish and package offers. The pre-sale service (I wasn't even a customer yet) was outstanding enough that I remember it even after so many years. In addition, my Bravus 10D developed an issue after a couple of years and when I called I was told to ship the unit back for evaluation and repair. After a week or so I was informed that the amplifier in the sub was bad and that it had been replaced at no cost to me (even though I think the sub was out of warranty by a little bit) and was already on its way back to me (also at no cost). There have been no issues since then despite daily (and occasionally extended) use. If I could give Aperion more than five stars for their customer service I would.
As you can probably tell, I'm still in love with my Aperion system and give the company my highest recommendations. While there are other options out there, I strongly encourage any prospective buyer to call the company and discuss your wants/needs - you might find (as I did) that you can stop looking after considering Aperion.
