Deck cleaning
Most deck cleaners are toxic stuff that I want no part of. So I bought Bio Green and loved it. I sprayed a 3:1 (water: Bio Green) solution on the deck wood, let it soak for a while, and then brushed it with one of those stiff bristled nylon brushes. But I added something. I slid 2 10 barbell plates down the handle to the brush. That put a lot of drag on the brushes and it ate away at the dirt and grime on the wood. You have to press down hard to get anything to really clean the wood. Pushing and dragging the brush with the weights is much easier than pressing down against the wood. It's kind of like towing a trailer is easier than lifting it. Then just rinse it off and it's super clean. And like I said, no toxic chemicals to worry about. I think we're all being poisoned in many ways, so I welcome anything that doesn't do that.
