As long as they make money you are good.
I am a small business (2 employees) and financed a Brother Direct to Garment machine through Direct Capital (DC). DC faithfully took the payments out every month and I paid for their insurance. I paid for 18 months with no problems. On Nov 17th my machine suffered major damage and I file a claim. From there on out I got treated poorly. They delayed the claim which caused even more damage to the machine. (WHICH I EXPLAINED TO THEM ON DAY ONE WOULD HAPPEN). Then paid one contractor that Brother suggested and he was a nightmare and didn't fix machine completely and never came back to finish the job. And DC and ASSURANT would not assist me, said it wasn't their problem. So I drained my savings of $2500 and tried to salvage my machine but it didn't work completely. DC and Assurant insurance REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME. Even though I sent written documentation from EXPERTS that what I did had to be done. Lisa L with DC kept telling me about "their bottom line" MEANTIME DC kept taking out the monthly amount I owed them and said it wasn't their problem that I was losing business. I ask for a deferment while the claim was open but was told if I missed a payment they would put a lien against my business. After 3 month of arguing and sending emails to everyone (including S LYNCH) Assurant Insurance (which DC sells to you) said they were paying the machine off but would NOT REIMBURSE ME ANY MONEY - not one penny of the $2500 or the 3 $400 payments that I made while trying to get them to do their jobs. So I now own a broken machine - loss revenue - and a drained bank account. BUT DIRECT CAPITAL GOT PAID. So if you value your business don't use DC - THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR MONEY. If they sink a small business to make a buck SO BE IT! #Directcapitalisshady #assurantinsuranceisshady
