Scam
Scam. Not recommend. From China. The glasses color are not the same. Reply to your reply: I am talking about your company in Australia. I ordered ice blue, as shown in your website, but you sent to me dark blue glasess. I have sent to you a picture of what I received but your answer was : "it is difficult to show you just how they’ll look from a photo". I also think that they are for cloudy days because they almost don't stop the light. So, if you now have sent to an email me to rate you and make a review, here you have my opinion.

Hi FC, I'm not sure if you have are reviewing the correct company here. Our lenses are all made to order in Australia and shipped to customers all over the world. Raw materials and other components of our lenses are sourced from all over the world including Japan and other nations but final lenses are all made in Australia as stated on our site. As for colour matching: Sunglass lenses come in thousands of colours it's quite possible ours won't match what you had originally in your sunglasses. We get close to most common colours such as black and browns but there are many variations. We try to keep ours as close as we can the most popular but possibly match all of the 300,000 models we make replacement lenses for. We do try to state on every page of our site how our service works. We even state the that these we make our own lenses at checkout and on the receipt we send after ordering. Regardless, we do have a 6 months no question return policy. Please contact our care team on [email protected] with your order number, name, and your issue. The lenses were not the right size
The lenses were not the right size. The were the right shape but the size did not fit. I ended up having to shave them down and it was awful.

Hi Tony, As stated in many places on our site we don't work with Glass. Glass lenses are heavy, break, and aren't nearly as safe as other technologies on the market. Our lenses are made from optifallty pure polyamide. It has very similar optical properties as glass (being very clear) yet is about 1/3 the weight and very hard to break. Our hard coating is up to 40% more abrasion resistant than most lenses on the market. However, glass is harder so wins in that category until you drop them and they shatter. Regardless, we do have a 6 month no question return policy. I'm sorry our warnings and descriptions across the site were not clear enough and you missed that point. I'm sorry to hear you feel this way Reco, We do our best to design what we feel is one of the best sunglass lenses made. We use a optically pure 100% UV protected polyamide base that has similar optical clarity as glass lenses. However, it's about 1/3 the weight so usually far more comfortable to wear and much stronger than glass. We scratch protect the lenses with a hardcoat that is up to 40% stronger than most on the market. Glass is the only exception as in some cases it is better are resisting scratches as it's harder. However, glass breaks so one bad drop and they are completely ruined. Therefore, most customers feel our lenses can last longer. We do have a 6 month no question return policy. Please feel free to contact our support at [email protected] and they can help you with the return or you can just send the lenses back with your receipt for a full refund. Hi Oscar, I'm sorry about delays over the holidays. I am having our team reach out to DHL and then contact you directly about your shipment not arriving in Mexico. We will find out what the status is from the shipment in Sept and either reship or refund you once we get determination from DHL it is lost. Should be in contact within a day or two. Sorry about that. We do run into problems with the Mexican post now and then but do guarantee delivery. Normally we get emails not reviews about issues so again, sorry about delay. HI Paul, I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the lenses you ordered. I can see from our side you ordered the steel blue polarized lenses which are a dark blackish blue lenses with no coating. If you didn't receive what you ordered please contact [email protected] and send a photo of what you received so they can verify the mistake and ship out the correct colour. If you did receive what you ordered but were expecting something different we do exchanges. Again, please reach out to our team, explain what you were hoping to get and they might be able to work out what would be a better match to meet your needs. Most of all our of lenses are now robotically controlled in terms of picking the colours so it is rare we send out the wrong colour. They are also inspected to ensure the right colour was made. However, even with all those controls we still do make each pair to order so mistakes can happen. However, we do have a team here that work with customers all the time to ensure they get what they ordered or what they need if they are not happy. However, we do need to be aware of the issue. Overall good product but watch out for the returns
I returned a pair of lenses that didn't fit, they said that they were happy to provide me with a refund but the refund never arrived! Order: 463217.

HI Sean, I have looked into your situation. I'm sorry you left the review so quick as there was obviously a slight delay in your returning the lenses you didn't require. I can see the refund did go through on the same day you wrote this review. Reviews like this are very damaging to small family run businesses. It would have been appreciated if you contacted us prior to leaving it since it was obviously a very tight window between when you sent them back and the review date. Regardless. I'm sure you will find the refund on the 12th of December if you review your records. Didn’t work for me
The lens width was just a little too short. While struggling to try to make it work one of the lenses was scratched. So, I threw the lenses away and considered it a loss. ***Edit: Regarding the reply from the company, my review was in no way lashing out. After being sent several emails requesting a review of my experience, I gave it.

Hi Clay, sorry you tossed them. We do have a team here that could had helped. WE also have a 6 month no question return policy. Anyhow, it can be hard finding the right lenses for you frames and doing your first install. However, we've helped hundreds of thousands of people keep their sunglasses going, some now for over a decade. Again, sorry about your situation but please, in future help out small businesses by reaching out and letting them try to help you rather than lashing out with bad reviews. I feel that most family run businesses that risk everything to try and provide a services deserve a chance to help before being hammered with very harmful reviews. The lenses I bought were cheap…
The lenses I bought were cheap replacements as soon as I snapped them into my Maui Jim frames the lens tint seems to separate on both at the end where it was snapping in. Just cheap knock offs not worth your time

I've bought my lens on the site and, as was shown, I was expecting to receive the whole frame with the lens, that took a lot of time to arrive in Miami area, but I have received only the lens to substitute on my own frame. When i sent an email, the answer was very very cold, non constructive and a big disappointment... So, I have no extra frame for my lens.... to bad. Order ID: #453478

Impossible to remove my existing lens…
Impossible to remove my existing lens despite following instructions. Lens colour was not accurate to what is appeared on my computer

Hi Marko, I'm sorry you were unable to remove your lenses nor thought the lenses looked like they did on your computer. We do try our best to provide real life shots, and colours that are close but mirrors and colours like that are hard to photograph and look different in different light conditions. We are always trying to improve it. As for not being able to fit the lenses due to not being able to get them out. You can contact our team at [email protected] and ask for help. They can even get a lens tech to call and help. Alternatively you could send your frames in our shop along with lenses ordered and we could do it all for your. Again, contact our care team and they can get that going for you. Lastly, you can return the lenses for a full refund. If you just figure it's gotten too hard you can return the lenses. Our care team can help with that too ensuring you get the most economical return postage. Again, I'm sorry about your challenges. I was extremely disappointed that finally when the lens arrived it did not have ray bans written in the lens. I was lead to believe via its marketing that they were ray bans lenses and also they were not cheap. Very unhappy customer

Waste of time
Waste of time. I ordered, paid, and after a month the lenses arrived. Of course, they do not fit the model. I send them photos of old and new lenses. They reply that they made a mistake and after a few days they send new ones. The second pair of lenses arrive after a month. This time the lenses enter the frame, but there is a gap between the frame and the lens. After more than two months, I lost money and time.

No glasses repaired or returned
Sent in wife's Tiffany sunglasses in August of 2022. We went out of the country for the month of September. When we got back, I sent emails, left phone messages wondering where the glasses were. Silence....No glasses, no correspondence nothing.

However, I have scanned our entire care system and we haven't had any correspondence from you since Aug 19th when we instructed you how to get the frames to our facilities for work. Nothing under the email your ordered under nor your last name. Our email is [email protected] or you can reply directly to your order receipt. I can see by your order status that we are still waiting on the arrival of your frames. If you have any sort of information about how you sent them, tracking details, and when you sent them we will do whatever we can to try and locate them. We do have a US phone number too. Please visit thesunglassfix.com and call us in the evening. We are in AEST timezone and usually have someone on the phone from 6:30am to 5pm. However, we do have one person on leave so try between 9am and 5pm over the next two weeks. Again, I'm sorry about the communication issue. I'm very unclear about what has happened there. Ordered replacement lenses for Oakley…
Ordered replacement lenses for Oakley Frogskins. Although lenses seemed good value and quality they do not fit the Oakley’s and leave a gap. I have since ordered lenses directly from Oakley which fit snug . They cost more but suggest everyone else does the same.

Hi Joe, we make lenses about 15 variantions of the Frogskins. If you had gaps there's a high probability we could have resolved this for you either before you placed the order or once you received the lenses that didn't fit. While Oakley may make lenses for your frame they certainly don't support older models. Additionally, a good set of replacement lenses from Oakley will set customers back about 300% more than they would from us and I feel we make a much better lens (when they fit of course). Lastly, we do have a 6 month return for refund policy. Please return the lenses. Happy to refund you but please, next time consider contacting a company for help before leaving such a harmful review. You will be surprised how many people order incorrectly and damaging a small family run business making products in Australia is not great for anyone as we would have helped regardless of the cause of the problem. The task becomes every harder when the model information is no longer present on your frames. Sunglass Fix tries to present all options in search results and we also have links on each of the products showing “similar” products which would have made all three versions known to most shoppers.
