Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable staff without pressure and we were invited (and accepted) a test ride on the adjacent Folsom Lake trail. No "overselling" of a bike - we explained what we wanted and it was just right. I love this bike and it cost exactly the same price as advertised on the company's website, plus Folsom Bike threw in a water bottle holder and a 3-month checkup. Seriously, the best customer service I've had in years.

I went in for a new tube and tire
I went in for a new tube and tire. they fixed it while I waited. Very fast and courtious. I was getting the bike ready to ship. I had just sold it. Went home and could not get my pedals off to ship so I brought the whole bike in to get some help. They took the pedals off for me and would not take any money. They instantly became my bike shop. Good people.

My comfort bike was not shifting …
My comfort bike was not shifting on the rear derailleur. I brought it in and they fixed it within 10 minutes for a reasonable fee. And I was not even in that much of a hurry.

I went there to purchase a pair of…
I went there to purchase a pair of indoor cycling shoes, their was a great sale going on 70% off. I sat their trying on shoes and no one came and asked how I was doing. I then got up and looks for someone to help me get the correct shoes and no one was around to assist me. I even made eye contact with me employee. I ended up purchasing road bike shoes that do not work Work with my bike. I then emailed and asked if I can return or exchange. I received an email back saying sorry you bought them on sale, but send me the shoes you got and I will see what I can do. I have now been in again after speaking with Erin and she was able to assist me with the exchange of my shoes and I am now ready for the bike! Thank you Scott for getting me fitted properly and with the right shoes this time. Second time I really enjoyed my experience. Thank you.

A bike shop that doesn’t want to take of their customers.
I had Folsom Bike pack and ship a bike that I bought, and when I received the bike it was missing the seat clamp wedge. This was a loose item and should have been boxed with the other loose items on the bike. Unfortunately they did not want to take any responsibility for the missing piece. I paid them over $250 to pack and ship the bike to me, and they couldn’t do that correctly.

Hi Clinton~ I am sorry that your seat clamp wedge got lost in shipping. Folsom Bike packed your used bike purchase as directed and took out the necessary insurance to protect your 3rd party purchase. We also took photos of your bike which we supplied to you and the shipping company showing the seat clamp wedge was there when we boxed it. Furthermore, we even assisted you with filing a claim with the shipping company in which they were more than happy to replace your missing seat clamp wedge. I realize it was a bummer that it was lost in shipping causing a delay in you being able to ride the bike. My last conversation with the shipping company was that they were trying to replace it asap to get you riding. If you would like me to contact the shipping company again for you please let me know.

I actually had great experience a few years ago when Folsom Bike fixed my bike after a wreck so I didn't hesitate to refer them when a friend was looking to buy a bike. Not only did they give him a veteran discount of either 20 or 25%, they also gave him a water bottle cage, water bottle, repair kit, saddle bag and tire pump. I was excited to go to Folsom Bike after hearing about my friends purchase experience when I went to purchase my own bike. I was greatly disappointed. Not only did they not even give me the 10% discount they were offering the previous day when I first stopped by at the start of my search, they didn't give me any of the items they gave my friend, not even a water bottle. They scratched the handlebars when installing my new grips I purchased and the seat height was wrong so I had to stop by another bike shop to adjust my seat height.
