American collectors increasingly insurance rates for no reason $1000 more Wow
I been with American collectors for over 3 years now and my insurance went up a thousand dollars with no warning or reason wow. I don’t even have a chance to get my finances together to consider this new quote. I don’t think that its fair for existing policy holders I should have been warned about this earlier not a month before it’s time to renew my policy.

The General sent me a Quote that was…
The General sent me a Quote that was 2009$ more every six months than the Mile Insurance company. And $330 a month for liability insurance with a 41 year old male with no accidents, no tickets or duis and married, with a house is ridiculously high. Why on earth would or could it be $330 a month???? Greed will bring you to your knees

Paid in full, Cannot set up acct as everytime I try it says either Error or Cannot fetch policy details unable to register vehicle as I can't get a simple email with ID cards to take to motor vehicle, I have Fridays off but now have to take tomorrow off to see if I can rectify this issue and now will lose $200.00 in work earnings!!

My disappointment
My disappointment regarding my recent experience with American Collectors' Insurance Services. As a long-time customer who had previously insured my vehicle with your company, I was eager to continue my coverage when I purchased a new vehicle. However, I was informed that my application for auto insurance was denied due to a previous accident that occurred while being covered by their insurance. While I comprehend the underlying factors that insurers consider when assessing risk, I cannot help but feel disheartened by this outcome. It seems contradictory that I am being denied coverage for a situation that transpired under the very product offered by American Collectors. As a loyal customer, I had hoped for a more understanding approach from your company. While I acknowledge that past incidents can impact future coverage decisions, I still find it difficult to reconcile the notion that utilizing your insurance service has resulted in my current denial of coverage. Having enjoyed a positive experience with American Collectors in the past, this turn of events has left me questioning the consistency of your insurance policies and the level of customer support provided.

What is the status of my policy?
I believe my experience with ACI began on 2/12/24 with Brianna Habermehl. When I called to continue the process of obtaining insurance her email greeting stated she was going to be out of the office until September. Follow up was then initiated with Jill Jared, who completed my application. A "new agreement" required my signature by "adobe reader. I was unable to sign with it and a hard copy form was requested by USPS. It was received, signed and mailed to ACI. I received further messages to use "adobe". An email was sent to Jill Jared with a scanned copy of the form attached. This email was received and uploaded to my policy on 2/29/24 according to an email from Jill Jared. Jill Jared then initiated another email request for the document on 3/13/24.

Company sucks!!!
Company sucks!!!! After giving them every bit of info they wanted and never getting back to me i called them. 45 minutes on the phone only to find out they won't insure my 1996 Cadillac because I don't have 4 regularly driven cars in the house. My wife has a car my daughter has a car and I have a car that we all drive daily. But since my 17 year old son doesn't have his own car the m***er f****rs won't insure me. I guess if your not rich and don't buy your licensed teenage kid a car then you can go f yourself as far as American collectors ins. Is concerned. Screw them!!!!

Terrible Service
I don't understand some of these reviews. Terrible customer service with a lot of dishonest responses. I'm sure it's great when your getting a quote but with continued business the quality disappears. Be very careful working with this company. Been with USAA for decades and they never treated me as bad as these guys did.

Do not trust your antique cars with…
Do not trust your antique cars with them. After renewing the insurance the company send me different emails regarding photos I had to submit and all the paperwork again. I complied and sent to my agent Thomas B. My agent was not very responsive from the start but I finally got an email renewal and I thought everything was fine. On December 31st I received a cancellation notice. I emailed and called my agent Thomas B. but he never called me back. Finally, I reached a manager that informed me that they changed the parameters of my insurance and I could no longer insure 1 of my 3 cars with them (btw they cancelled ALL of my policies). BUT, she also clarify saying that my insurance was ACTIVE until the end of my policy year. I raised question about coverage if something happens in between and the manager would NOT give me a straight answer. I knew at that point the answer was ... we are not going to pay because of this technicality ... very dishonest !!! Stay far away Went back to Hagerty instead.

They won't insure you unless you already have a primary policy for other cars.
I contacted American Collectors Insurance to start a policy on 2002 Miata I recently acquired. The first question I was asked, was why aren't you insuring with your primary company? Then she proceeded to tell me that they can't insure my vehicle because I don't have other cars insured already (we have company-provided vehicles). This makes no sense, as I was referred to them by somebody who uses American Collectors and is in the same situation. So I don't believe the agent was very knowledgeable. I subsequently contacted Hagerty and they issued me a policy. So I recommend not to bother with American Collectors Insurance.

Very poor and disrespectful customer service Sheralee Simms
Sheralee Simms was very pleasant in the beginning when selling the policy. However, when contacting her with general (simple) questions it fell on deaf ears, I had to email and call just to get and reply from her. Several days later when she finally did respond to my email she decided to type in all caps, letting me know how busy she was and out of the office instead of answering my question. I again asked the same question and again she didn't answer my question, this went back and forth over a span of two weeks. She is incredible RUDE! I cannot recommend this company at this point. If a representative from the company would like to see my correspondence with Sheralee Simms I'm happy to share that. There is absolutely no place for rudeness directed towards a customer for asking a question.

I chose American Collectors insurance…
I chose American Collectors insurance because they offer comprehensive insurance when my classic corvettes are in climate controlled storage during the late fall, winter and early spring months in Ohio. The problem is communication between agents and the home office at Cherry Hill NJ. For 2024 coverage I decided on full coverage for one of my corvettes and comp on the other two. Despite the best efforts of Michelle L. it took the home office several attempts to send me the correct documents. As a result, I mailed my 2024 payment on 11/30/23 and 10 days later still no response from the home office. Even worse I was charged and submitted the wrong amount. On 12/14/23, I received a letter from American Collectors P.O. Box 8343 Cherry Hill NJ stating my policy has expired due to non payment. I called Michelle L. who is a great agent for A.Collectors and she apologized and stated that I was still covered despite the NON PAYMENT LETTER! The next day (12/15/23) I received a letter thanking me for my 2024 payment and wanting me to sign and mail the document attesting that my collector vehicles had not been in an accident since my policy was cancelled (the day before) for non payment. To say I'm livid would be an understatement!

I have not been provided with proof of…
I have not been provided with proof of insurance and trying to get it on line doesn't work for me. Thus I cannot drive my beatiful old Ford F100 show truck since getting American Collectors Insurance. Had I known this, I would have stayed with USAA.
